Please Be Mine (Shourtmien)

CHAPTER I: FIRST DAY

SHAYNE'S POV

I sat in my living room, tired. I just finished my audition at Smosh. "Another audition, done!" I said to myself, half convinced that it was successful. After having gone through so many then getting rejected, I'm used to it. Then I remembered her.

"What a move, Shayne. Telling that girl... What's her name again? That you'll see her at work." I remember now, her name's Courtney. She's big on Vine. "Well she's young and talented. I think she'll get it." Doubting that I would since she said she was 18 and I'm much older than her. Too bold to say that I'll see her at work but I've been doing it so I looked cool and confident.

Why am I even thinking about this too hard? Maybe I need to go take a shower to get this off my mind.

*ding*

I just got back from the grocery to get some supplies when I heard my phone get a notification. It was an email from Smosh. I opened the email, thinking that it's one of those letters saying thanks that I went to the audition and they'll just contact me. But as I scroll through the lengthy email, it's a call back.

...We'll see you soon. Glad to have you on board.

It said at the end of the email. Wow. I can't believe I got it. Pretty sure they were unsure of me but hey, I got it!

Then my best friend and roommate Damien came out of his room. "What's up man?" I smiled at him. "I booked it. I booked my last audition."

"That's great! Congrats, man." he added. "When there's an opening, I'll try to get you in." I said to him with so much confidence. Why wouldn't I? We've been bestfriends since So Random. If there's a chance, I'd love to work with him again. "Thanks. I appreciate that. Let's celebrate." And by celebrating, he meant ordering pizza and playing videogames and just enjoy the moment.

It's nice to come through these halls again that I can now call my work. Ian and Anthony called me in their office to officially welcome me and just run through the whole contract. It's a bit boring but it's the kind that you'd want, honestly and it's a dream to work for Smosh.

Ian and Anthony showed me around and eventually brought me to where our office would be. "They can't wait to meet you." Ian said with excitement. "We told them that we're adding someone. We just didn't tell them who." Anthony explained as we end the office tour right to the door of our office.

Anthony knocked and opened the door. "Hey, guys! Guess who we brought?" Then I walked in and Courtney was the first one I saw. All smiles and very excited to see me.

"Hey!" They all blurted out at the same time.

Ian then introduced everyone. "This is Keith Leak Jr., and of course you know Noah Grossman, Olivia Sui and Courtney Miller. You know her from the auditions right?" I nodded and smiled at everyone. "And this is Shayne Topp." Ian added. "We'll leave you kids to get acquainted." Then Ian and Anthony left the room.

We started talking and getting to know each other but I can't stop looking at Courtney from time to time. There's just something about her that I can't shake. I have to be careful. I just booked this and I can't just ruin that.
