Mina's POV

COINCIDENCE. A slightly complicated word. Some may think it's a normal thing we encounter everyday. A lot of things you can assume because of that. Some mistaken it from 'Destiny'. And some used it as an excuse.

Oddly, I'm afraid of that thing. Meeting a person anytime anywhere gave me that 'I want to hide' feeling. Sometimes, seeing someone I know in public made me pretend I didn't see them. My poor eyesight as an excuse, well, not all the time. Not that I hate them or what, it's just that I ain't good in talking to people unless he/she is a close friend of mine. I can say it's a weakness. Though,It's not a bad thing. Just a habit...a personality. It's just me.

"Manong bayad po.", wika ko sabay abot ng bayad. Almost one hour yung travel ko araw-araw papuntang school. Not that long coz I'm getting used to it.

But one day, one hour seems so long for me. It bothers me everytime I pass that certain area where chances I could meet him increases.

Manong wag kang tumigil dito please. The phrase I always say in my mind. Thank God, today the driver listened to my thoughts.

Minsan na weweirdohan din ako sa sarili ko. I wonder why I am so afraid seeing that guy along the way when I could still see him in the classroom. Yes, kaklase ko ang taong iniiwasan ko. It's not that he is some kind of killer to be afraid of but because he is a bit crazy.

He is smart and all but he is fcking weird! We were close back then before that embarrassing confession he made to me happened. I don't want to elaborate the details about it. Its killing me.

Now he is acting like a stalker and It's making my college life suffocating.

Bumaba na ako nang pumara yung bus sa tapat ng school. Tinanggal ko ang tali sa aking buhok para takpan ang piercings ko bago pumasok. Huminga muna ako ng malalim at humiling na sana hindi ko siya makasabay sa pagpasok.

"Mina!", boses palang alam na alam ko na kung sino ang tumawag sakin. It's him. The crazy classmate.

Lilingon ba ako? O wag na lang? Naka earphones naman din ako so I can pretend I didn't hear anything.

Mas binilisan ko ang lakad ko. Siguradong mahahabol din naman niya ako kasi mahaba mga biyas niya at iisa lang din naman ang destinasyon namin. Wait... so what's the point of walking this fast? Bobo ko talaga.

"Mina, hey!", there you go. Napahinto ako nang tapikin niya balikat ko.

I rolled my eyes with a sigh before facing him with a plastic smile. "Oh?"

He welcomed me with a smile but it just gave me goosebumps. Hindi ko alam ano iniisip ng taong ito.

"You're early", he casually said.

You're early because you want to see me longer... In his thoughts.

Not that I can hear thoughts or I'm being judgemental, but a friend of mine told me everything. Everything about what this person assumed that made him confess to me bravely. Too brave that it's too public na parang gusto ko na lang ibaon sarili ko sa lupa noong time na 'yun. Damn.

"Yeah", my only response. I'm about to plug-in my earphones to end the conversation when he spoke again.

"Siguradong may activity na naman si sir. You want me to help you in programming?"

There he goes. He knows what I need and he is using his weapon for that...intelligence.

"No need. I can manage. I can ask the prof directly if I need help"
