Backstory: Ketsu was once a regular human living in a small village before it was attacked by a powerful and fearful demon known as Diabolus the Blood King, who turned Ketsu into a Blood Knight.
Blood Knights are demons that have the ability to manipulate their blood into a weapons, a red crystal is shown on their chests, signifying this.
An enraged Ketsu tried to strike the demon but failed, the Diabolus saw him as a worthy candidate to be his final Knight.
A crystal of blood was shot into Ketsu's chest, transforming him. However he is half complete, so he isn't fully under the King's control. Still fuelled by rage, Ketsu creates his blood blade and murdered all of the demons and absorbing their blood, making himself a little bit stronger, he was successful in striking the King but only slightly.
Another Blood Knight in red armour, named Cruento was accompanying the King, slashed at Ketsu, leaving him with vicious cuts all over his body, the king and Cruento leave the injured boy on the ground, surrounded by flames, corpses and a sea of blood. As he had just became a demon, his regeneration was slow but thanks to all the blood surrounding him, Ketsu absorbed it all, healing himself. Once he had awaken, he sets off for revenge against Diabolus the Blood King, in his journey he'll encounter the rest of the Knights, wanting to kill them too.
Personality: Originally Ketsu was a kind and hard working boy, but after his transformation he closed his heart off to others, causing him to become rather cold and cruel towards others only so he doesn't have to deal with the pain of losing anyone else close to him, he's also quite rude, blunt and incredibly vulgar. Ketsu will not hesitate to strike anyone who gets in his way. He has a strong desire for power to execute his revenge. However despite his rather cruel attitude, deep down Ketsu is rather understanding and still the kind person he was.
Abilities:
Blood Blade Manipulation Ketsu can morph his blood into a large sword that can extend and absorb blood. This sword can act as a chainsaw as it has small tiny blades moving around, perfect for shredding up demons
Blood Absorption By absorption blood, Ketsu can grow stronger and increase the speed of his regeneration.
Regeneration A common ability amongst demons, healing almost any wound and even some would be considered fatal
Sin Bomb Ketsu builds up demonic energy and condenses it into an orb
Despair Eater A unique ability to Ketsu, that causes him to grow temporarily stronger when feeding on despair being inflicted upon him or the despair of others. However he cannot feed upon his own despair
Weaknesses:
Like any other demon, Ketsu is weak to any holy infused weapon or power, and holy water. Getting hit by either of these will cause him immense pain and will greatly slow down his regeneration.
Trivia: Ketsu is the 9th Blood Knight.
His design was inspired by Velvet Crowe from Tales of Berseria, and Arnice from Nights of Azure 2.
