{Natalie's POV}

"Miss Trimet, please describe what happened that night." My lawyer, Mr. Jonathon, said.

I started my testimony. I wasn't exactly the easiest speech. It was probably my hardest one I had to deliver yet. But I had to do it. A crime this terrible, this permanently scarring, deserves action. I will not let him go unpunished.

I began. "'Hurry up and take out the trash, love! Dinner is in a few minutes!' I heard my mum say. 'Ugh,' I thought. 'I am tired of leftovers. I just wanna go out to dinner.' Too bad my dad was too sick to go, though. That may have just saved me from a horrible experience. If only I hadn't just left the house alone. Nevertheless, it couldn't be prevented. It happened, and it happened as follows.

"I grabbed my dad's pack of cigarettes and I stepped outside and shouted back at my mum, 'Okay! I'm just gonna have a smoke and take a quick walk! I'll be back soon!' I didn't wait for a reply. It had been raining all day in Wolerhampton. For once it stopped, and so even at around 8 pm, I still wanted to be outside. I've never been the indoorsy type. I can't stand crowded places.

"I took out the pack. I regret starting smoking, but I don't mind the pick-me-up rush it gives me. I'm not sure why, but I was just so tired that night. I just thought I'd have a quick one to pass the time. I ran out of my own cigarettes the day before, so I just used my dad's. He usually minds because they're apparently from The Bahamas and are very expensive. But I figured he'd mind a cranky, nicotine-deprived teeange daughter more.

"I pulled out my phone, and I clicked it onto the lock screen to check the time. 8:23 pm. I took some time to stare at my lock screen. Typical me, having Liam Payne as my background. Sometimes I fangirl so much, I scare myself. 'I sure hope I get to meet them one day, especially Liam. He's so perfect, so wonderful. It's any girl's dream to someday meet them. If I could be so lucky.' I thought to myself." I laughed half-heartedly. "How foolish and innocent I was. Just moments before the attack." I continued.

"I took a long drag on my cigarette. I've never enjoyed the foul taste much, but tonight it was pretty awful. Like, worse. It was weird. Maybe I'm getting my Dad's cold and my taste-buds are all weird. Eh. Makes sense because they were my Dad's cigarettes anyway.

"It was dark. The only light was that emanating from my cigarette and of a streetlight somewhere close.

"I heard footsteps near me. I turned my head to the right. No one there. I turned it left. Someone was standing at the head of the ally in between the flat I live in and our neighboring flat. The streetlight gave the man a silhouette. I couldn't see his face. He had a buzz-cut, though. He was tall and muscular, from what I could tell. He had light skin that shone tan in the dim light.

"Suddenly, he started to move. He came closer towards me. I became frightened. I took off in the other direction.

"I heard footsteps behind me, increasing at pace and volume. He was getting closer. What else could I do but run faster?

"I was so out of breathe. I couldn't scream. I would have to stop and catch my breathe to call for help, but he'd catch me before I could let out a whisper. I just knew he was closing in on me. I could feel it.

"Suddenly I was tackled to the ground. I expected to be mugged or stabbed. Or worse. The attacker's face was hidden, for he'd caught me in the unlit ally. He pulled out a knife and said, "Don't make a move, don't make one sound."

"'That voice, I know that voice!' I thought to myself.

"I didn't have time to process this strange event because his hand clasped over my mouth, silencing me. He had me pinned down and I couldn't move. I was afraid he'd stab me if I did. He started removing the buttons from their slots in my shirt. He tried to slide it off me. I struggled as he extracted the clothes from my body, one by one. With a knife at my throat, he took advantage of me. The rest is too painful to talk about.

That night, as he left me there to die, naked in the ally, the rain started pouring again. I layed there, motionless. Speechless. I was defiled. I wanted to die. I was the filthiest, worthless piece of shit, amoung the other names my attacker called me. I was violated by that man, that man sitting at the defense table!

"I was raped, by Liam James Payne."
