These days, our society is divided into two sections:

▪︎Those who cast aside myths and legends as mere fairytales for the gullible and childish.

▪︎Those who take such tales and burn them into their mind, believing every word written or said.

Whilst it's virtually impossible to change every human's opinions on the matter, some legends may be entirely true whilst others are, in truth, simple stories.

However.

The legend that encapsulates our heroes here did indeed happen, and the tales told around it are entirely correct.

Shall we begin?

Centuries, perhaps millennia ago, both humans and creatures of all kinds–unicorns,  lived amongst each other as companions. They worked and lived together, indulged in each other's interests and overall harmonised together.

However, whenever there's difference, there is always discrimination. Not among the different races of humans, but between human and creature.

Some humans had a sense of arrogance in their hearts and believed that they were far superior to the creatures. Even so, the caring cryptids still remained by their sides, not wishing to lengthen this disharmony any further.

Unfortunately, trapped within their self-conceit and overwhelming condescension, the few cold humans only grew their hatred for the second race, so much so that one specific human took devastating measures to satisfy his ego.

His name was Adriek Madden.

Driven by his desire for total domination over both races, Adriek devoted himself to the temptings of dark magic and the arcane chaos. His own body was forced to adapt to the horrific effects that followed, becoming a powerful yet terrifying being with a distorted face and grotesque nails as sharp as Excalibur.

The power-hungry Adriek brainwashed thousands of humans into his bidding, sending them to commit mass genocide of the creatures.

Thus lead a bloody and lengthy war with very little breaks lasting at least a week. Despite the suppressing power of Adriek's minions, the cryptids fought back alongside the more loyal humans, using their own magical abilities and advantageous features.

Soon, the malevolent humans started to fall back. Out of fear that his defeat would lead to worldwide humiliation and inferiority, Adriek cast his soul and power into a single selenite crystal, leaving an empty husk of a body behind.

Despite the united creatures and humans' victory, the vast majority of species had been wiped extinct by the war. Even so, the two races remained in cooperation to rebuild their world.

Nowadays, the war is told as a fable to young children and even some adults to never let power overcome your morality.

Some conspiracists believe the gem may still exist.

You'd normally expect and unsuspecting palaeontologist or even a simple crystal collector to discover such a stone, but no.

A group of heroes, our group of heroes discovered it.

Even so...

You shouldn't really take things that you don't own, especially what you don't know the history of.

Guess fucking what, people.
I've returned.

I've dipped back into this tiny fandom for no essential reason, but oh well. It's nice to be here.

Yeah this book is getting rewritten, I really didn't like how it previously was, and I'd like to encorporate some... explicit detail into it this time.

Hope y'all are excited.
