The Story of Four

The Fight

After my second to last class it was finally time for Magic Class. While I was packing my things up I sense someone looking at me so I look up and see Riku staring right back at me. I look away and continue to gather my things up.

I put my books to my chest and see Riku in front of me.

"See you in class." He says with a sly smirk on his face and his hands in his pockets as he walks away. I just roll my eyes and head out of the classroom to put my stuff up in my locker. I take out my bento and towards the cafeteria to meet with the girls.

I walk into the cafeteria and I can see people turn my way. I put my head down slightly so that my bangs would hide my eyes and I walked towards Moriko, Ryoko, and Naomi. I lifted my head and smiled at them but Ryoko was the only one that noticed me approaching the table because Moriko and Naomi were deep in talking.

"Hey Sasha, are you ok?" Ryoko says with worry on her face.

"Yeah I'm fine, but why is everyone looking at me?" I ask that and my question seems to catch Naomi's attention.

"She's right. Why is everyone looking at her?" Naomi acknowledges when she looks around the room. "She doesn't have anything on her face or something like that."

"I might know," Moriko says, "remember how you challenged Riku to a battle-"

"YOU CHALLENGED RIKU TO A BATTLE!" Naomi yelled, accidentally cutting Moriko off. If people weren't staring before, there definitely staring now.  "Sorry.."

We sent in silence for a little bit while we all eat our lunches.

"So if I could continue what I was saying," Moriko says looking at Naomi who is slightly red from embarrassment, " I wanted to say that they are probably looking at you because word has gone around saying that your going to fight Riku. But if they didn't know they now know because of Naomi."

"Sorry.." she says again

"Its okay, I can guess you didn't really know." I said with a shy smile.

"Soo," Ryoko says trying to change the subject, "are you guys busy after school? I wanted to see if we could go get ramen!"

"I'm free." Moriko says

"Sure." Naomi says in between her eating.

"I can't," I say the girls turn to me with confused and questioning looks, "I have to work tonight."

"You have a job?" Naomi asks

"Yeah I do, I work at a cafe." I look down. "Someone has to pay the bills." I say with a laugh. I look up and see Ryoko looking at me with worry, but Moriko tries to change the subject seeing that it's kinda hard to talk about.

"Maybe we could come visit you?" She says with a hopeful smile

"Sure, I would like that. You guys can come visit anytime."

"Welp, looks like were going to a cafe!" Ryoko says. Hopefully she's not mad that their not going to get ramen. Naomi smiles and nods her head with agreement.

I stab my fork into my salad and continue to talk and eat.

After we finish in the cafeteria we go towards our magic class. I can see people looking towards me as I walk down the hallways but I chose to ignore it.

We walk into the room and find a seat next to each other. The classroom looks the same as any other classroom but when Mrs. Ashlock, the magic teacher, comes in she instructs us to follow her to the stadium, training grounds, or the magic tester room. The class starts and we all go silent in anticipation of what's going to happen, when Mrs. Ashlock walks in.
