(This chapter explains my version of Toni's backstory. I tried my best to write it the way I wanted it to work out. I hope you enjoy it! Also, I seriously hope that Toni gets a backstory in season 5. The writers promised one this season, but the heavily filled Toni episode (in which I'm guessing has Toni's backstory in it), has been moved to the beginning of season 5. We just have to wait 5-6 months.)

"I'll start off with the fact that I wasn't actually born in Riverdale. I was born in a small town just outside of Riverdale called Greendale. That's where I lived for the majority of my childhood. My parents were the most sweetest people on the planet. The cared so much for me and my well being. They were the best parents I could have asked for." Toni sighed, dropping her spoon onto the plate. "My family wasn't the wealthiest... my father had to work overtime to save up enough money to buy important things. It took until the very last day to be able to pay the bills, but we didn't care... because we always had each other. One day, I was with Sweet Pea and Fangs, who I've actually known since I was like five years old. We were just playing around, you know? Maybe into some trouble, I mean why wouldn't we be.. We were just stupid little kids. I don't remember exactly when the three of us were doing that day, but I do remember when my uncle got the call."

Cheryl sat straight up. "My parents were on a date for their anniversary and were coming home from the restaurant when a drunk driver crossed the yellow line and hit them." Toni sighed, rubbing her tear stained eyes, "they were killed instantly."

"That was the last time I ever saw them... and the last time I lived in Greendale. I'm never going back. I was brought to Riverdale where my grandfather lived and I stayed with him until he passed. My uncle came and stayed with us plenty of times, but eventually stopped visiting. He always thought that I looked exactly like my mother, that I inherited everything from my mother. That's probably the reason he stopped coming over, because I look like his sister. I umm... well I knew that my family was revolved around the serpents. I mean my grandfather founded them and all. So I decided to join them, and that's when they became my family. Sweet Pea and Fangs thought it was stupid, but didn't want to be left out so they joined as well. Eventually said that it was the best thing that they've ever done."

"I'm so sorry, Toni." Cheryl reached for her hand and gave it a squeeze."

Toni sniffed, putting on a smile. "It happens."

"Though it shouldn't." Cheryl responded, giving her a smile.

"Death is inevitable." Toni whispered, picking the spoon back up. "Everyone dies."

"You're right... but they shouldn't die that early and young. Not while they still have family and children that are so young."

Toni just nodded in agreement.

"Well.... this is depressing." Toni said, standing up from her seat and throwing her plate in the sink.

"Right... sorry." Cheryl replied, hanging her head low.

"Don't be." Toni walked over to Cheryl, "I needed to tell the story to someone."

"You hardly know me." Cheryl replied, "Why did you tell me and not Jughead or another serpent?"

Toni chuckled, "it wouldn't be the same. Plus, I don't trust Jughead as much as I trust you. Which might be a shocker, but I have a feeling you actually keep secrets. Jughead would go and tell Betty, Veronica and Archie."

"Tell me about it..."

"What do you mean?" Toni wondered.

Cheryl sighed, raising from the seat and waking over to the sink, placing the plate next to Toni's. "When my brother passed away, security footage of his death was found and Betty got a hold of it."
