"The art of life is a constant readjustment to our surroundings"
She slowly opened her eyes and the first thing she saw was a white ceiling and a square object installed in it.
Chunhua quietly let out a breath then she slowly looked at her surroundings. The more she looked, the more worried she became.
It was such a strange place. There were many objects that she had never seen before. As people walked past her room, she noticed that even the clothes that people wore were strange. Man have very short hair and women let their hair loose. It was very strange.
Where was she?
The last thing she knew she was dead. She killed her herself to not give her husband satisfaction in ruining the last thing she had, her life. But where is she? Is this the netherworld?
Since she couldn't figure out what happened. She tried to move her body but grimaced at the sharp pain coming from her stomach.
"Miss, I need to check your vital signs" A woman in white entered the room with some objects in her arm.
She stiffened, chunhua is still unsure of her situation so it is best to escape. But this world is strange and escaping is the least favourable option. She sighed.
"Excuse me, can I use the toilet?"
"This way miss" the woman said as she lead me towards the toilet.
Chunhua can see that the floor is marbled and everything is white. When she opened the bathroom door, chunhua ws astounded. Everything seems familiar but she haven't seen them before.
She came across a mirror and stared at the woman who have deathly pale complexion, sunken cheeks that her cheekbone stands out, her body which is extremely thin, probably malnourished that you can see her ribs and the shadows under her eyes, amethyst eyes which are astoundingly similar to hers. If only she's staring at another person.
This is not me. But why am i residing in this body? Is this transmigration? She was shocked at that conclusion. When she was still a kid, having enough time to read books. She love reading fantasy books about reincarnations and transmigrations. But her family stored away her books so that she can focus on strengthening herself. She felt sad at that memory, will her family miss her? Probably not, she betrayed them.
"Miss are you okay?"
That voice startled her. She should stop thinking about the past, maybe this was given to her to start over and live a good life.
"I'm okay, can you please come back later? I'll take a bath"
"Okay miss"
Chunhua heard the click at the door and let out a sigh. Her body subconciously made its way into the bath tub and opened the faucet. This body seemed to remember how to operate these objects that she haven't seen before. At least it is benificial to her.
