CHAPTER 5: Hide and seek

"Taehyung is busy because of some personal promotions so he told me to drop by instead" I said.

A part of that is true. The other part is that I actually insisted on coming here and told hyung about it.

I knew Isabelle and Mae were back since Isabelle noona told me but I didn't know their address or where to drop by so I asked hyung since he has been at their house before to pick up Isabelle. He really wanted to visit her but he had some urgent business. So I told him that I can drop by instead.

"I see" Isabelle said.

I bought some food with me since it's been 3 months and I'm sure they miss some korean foods. Mae quickly unpacked them and told us to eat.

"I hope you like them noona" I smiled at Isabelle.
"Stop calling me noona"
"But you are older than me" I teased.

Mae laughed. Mae and I were both born at 1997 so I don't call her noona.

I sometimes dm Mae also so we know some stuff about each other. I also found out that the reason why they came back here in Seoul is because she got an offer to teach at a university.

"Congratulations on your job, by the way. When will you start?" I asked Mae.
"In three weeks, at the start of the semester" she said.
"I see. I'm excited for you"

I looked at Isabelle but she was looking at her phone. She didn't seem happy seeing me. I knew she wanted to see Taehyung, what did I expect.

"Anyway, I just dropped by so I can give you some food. I'll tell hyung that you guys are done unpacking. He might drop by soon" I said.
"Are you going home now? Come eat with us" Mae said.
"It's okay. I need to report back to hyung"

Isabelle stood up and smiled at me.

"Thanks for visiting us. You can come back if you need some company" she said.
I smiled. "I will, noona"

She laughed again as soon as I called her noona.

"Will I be able to make you stop calling me noona?" She asked.
"Nope, noona" I teased.
"Fine. Go home safely"

I already predicted that she might have been happier if Taehyung was the one who visited.
But I just really wanted to see her.

I just wanted to say I miss her.

I invited Mae over at my studio. I have a separate studio now because sometimes I need some space and time alone so I can write songs. It's not that far away from our house. I invited Mae and asked her to help me because I found out that she also writes songs.

And I also wanted to spend time with her, even though I don't want to admit it.

*knock knock*

I opened my door and I was greeted by Mae's smile. It immediately made my heart flutter.

"Come in" I said.

I wanted to hug her and tell her I missed her but of course, I'm Min Yoongi. I am a master of self control.

"Are you done submitting your papers at the university?" I asked as I pulled out a chair for her.
"Yep. I'll be starting after 3 weeks. You can come visit me if you want to" she said.
"I'll think about it. Sit"

She sat down and smiled at me.

"So, do I get to hear your unreleased songs?" Her smile is so big I can see her dimples.
"Call me oppa first" I teased.
She pouted. "Why are you so obsessed on being called oppa, huh?"
