Chapter 10: Finding out

I woke up in my room and every thing felt normal except the fact that I was dizzy. I got up and walked to the door. I tried to open the door but it didn't work it was locked. I sighed and walked back to my bed and sat down. Honestly I was scared. Scared I was going to die she was going to kill me.
I opened the window and looked down. I could try and climb out. I put a leg out the window and the door opened. "what are you doing?" Linda said.
"Climbing..."
"Get back inside."
"Why should I? I could have a chance to live or just let you kill me by staying."
"You won't feel like living if you leave because remember your mate is still here." I climbed back in the window.
"Why?" I asked. "That was his choice not mine so why are you going to do this to me?"
"Because," Linda said. "Your a living memory." Linda closed the window and turned to me. "I'll be back." she said and walked out of the room.
When Linda came back she was holding a knife.I backed up. What was she going to do. "I won't kill you. I can't not with this anyways it's not silver." Linda stepped toward me. "Give me your hand." I shook my head no. "I said give it to me." She said in a demanding tone. I held out my hand. She cut and I bit my lip to keep from screaming.

I sat in the bathroom and wrapped my wounds even though I healed fast I didn't want to get blood all over everything. The door opened and I stopped.
"Oh sorry," Nathan said and started to close the door but stopped in opened it again. "What are you doing?" I put my hands behind my back.
"Nothing," I said. Nathan grabbed my arm and looked at my hand.
"What's this?" he said.
"I was bored and wanted to pretend there was something wrong with my hand." I lied.
"Show me that there isn't then."
"But it took so long to do and I don't wanna redo it again."
"You're lying."
"No I'm not."
"Tell me what really happened."
"Okay fine," I said. " I cut myself cutting."
"Well you could've told me that before getting me all worried."
"Okay well out now," I said and pushed Nathan out of the way of the door and closed it.
"I'll be in your room." Nathan said and I heard him walk away. I sighed and slid down the wall. I hated lying but I didn't want to start anything especially with Nathan. When I was done I went to my room and sat down on the bed with Nathan.
"So," I said. "Who's the new alpha of your pack?"
"My brother who was the beta, and it's not my pack anymore."
"Right," I said and sat to look at him. "What do you want to do?" Nathan pushed my hair out of my face.
"What happened?"
"What do you mean?" I said.
"Your hair it's different did you dye it?"
"No," I said. "I wish people would stop asking me that."
"What did your hair magically turn black?" Nathan said sarcastically.
"Haha very funny but can we not talk about my hair right now?"
"Fine," Nathan said. "What do you wanna talk about?"
I thought for a second. "You," I said.
"No.I don't wanna talk about me."
"You asked me what I wanted to talk about and that's what I want to talk about."
"If I talk about me you have to talk about you, and why you fake injuries when your bored."
"Okay fine don't talk about you," I said and sat back on my bed and sighed. I turned and stared at the lamp.
"Fine. lets go." Nathan said.
"Were?"
"Out," He said pulled me up and lead me outside. Nathan shifted an I did the same. follow me. He said through mind link and I did.
He led me to a beach with a cliff hanging behind it. Nathan Laid down on the sand and I shifted back and laid down next to him.
We watched the sun set and I slowly drifted off to sleep.

I walked through the dense forest looking and looking not knowing what for. I kept walking determined to find it even though I've been looking for hours. I came to a clearing. Nathan was there and a wolf that I didn't recognize. I stood there watching as the wolf growled and lunged toward Nathan and pushed him to the ground. "I surrender! I surrender!" Nathan yelled. The wolf stayed There growling. I ran and pushed the wolf off of him and it ran and disappeared in the trees.
I sat relieved that it was gone. I thought too soon. The wolf came back holding a gun in its mouth. "Get up," I told Nathan but for some reason he didn't the wolf dropped the gun and stood a few feet away from us. The wolf shifted to reveal his twin brother and I backed up some. He picked up the gun and helped Nathan up and yelled.
"Sarah come out here!" I watched as my sister came out from behind the trees tears stained her face and she stood next to him. "Pick one," he said to me.
"What?" I said.
"Pick one. The one you love the most and the one you want in your life."
"Both." I said.
"No, no, no just one I do what I want with the other."
"Both," I said again.
"You can't have both and since you can't choose well," He shot Nathan in his head and he fell to the ground. I screamed and dropped to my knees. "This one will be my mate." he said and took Sarah into his arms.

I woke up screaming. "No! Nathan! Sarah!" Tears strolled down my face as I looked around and couldn't find him. "Nathan!" I yelled. "NATHAN." I kept yelling until I found him and I hugged him .
"What happened are you okay?" He said and started to pull away but I held on.
"Don't leave. Please don't leave me," I said tears still coming down my face.
"I won't," he said. I pulled away.
"I'm sorry," I said.
"For what? You didn't do anything."
"Yes I did. I rejected you, Pulled you away from your friends and family, Lied to you."
"It's okay you rejected me but you took me back even though you new that when you took it back it wasn't me. I don't even want to know what you lied about and don't worry about it. I'm with you that's all that madders.Lets go home." He said and I shook my head yes and shifted. Nathan doing the same we ran home. I heard music and I shifted back and went inside. There was a party but I didn't know what for. I pushed through the crowd loosing Nathan behind me and went upstairs to look for Linda or Sean. I went to their room but no one was there. I went to my room to change out of my clothes because the clothes I was wearing where dirty.
I opened the door and four people were sitting there laughing but their attention turned to me when they heard the door. "Get out." I said
"Um, Why?" A girl said.
"This is my room get out!" they all walked out of the room laughing and I closed the door. I went to my closet and opened it to get some clothes were I saw two people making out. I growled. "GET OUT OF MY ROOM RIGHT NOW!" I yelled. The girl flinched and got up slowly.
"Nice doggy." she said. "Its not that serious."
"Just get out," I snapped and she left. I turned to the guy. "You too." I said.
"Awe," he said. "I needed a new partner and I thought-" I heard a growl and turned to see Nathan standing there. The guy put his hands up and said. "Alright I'll find someone else then." he left the room.
"You get out too," I said. Nathan rolled his eyes and left. I changed into a red tee shirt and some black skinny jeans. I went downstairs and Nathan was sitting on the couch talking to Joshua.
"That one is cute too." I heard someone say.
"Which one?"
"The one on the left sitting on the couch."
"Yeah but I like the other one better."
"Good because I call dibs he's mine." I turned to see two girls talking. I growled and walked toward them. I grabbed one by her shirt and pushed her against the wall.
"What did you say?" I said.
"Uh, nothing," she said pushing my hand away.
"Yes you did say something ' I call dibs he's mine'," I said with air quotes.
"Yeah so you got a problem."
"Yes I do actually."
"Oh okay well..." She pointed toward Nathan. "mine."
"Can I talk to you outside?" I said with a smile on my face.
"Sure," she said and we walked out.
"Look," I said. "You better run. Run as fast as you can away from here because if you don't your going get seriously hurt." She cocked her head at me for a second then shifted. She sat there and stared at me. That was it.
I shifted and growled at her. I warned you. I said through mind link. I lunged at her knocking her to the ground. She scratched my face and the memories of my test came back. I sunk my teeth into her neck and held it. She tried tried getting up but I bit down harder. She reached her paw up and scratched me again. I bit down even harder. When she went limp I let go my teeth stained with blood. I howled forgetting about the people inside.
"No!" I looked to see the girl who was talking to her standing there. She ran to her and I shifted back and stepping away.
"I'm sorry." I said as if I had eaten her cookie or something.
"You're a killer!" She screamed. "That's all you want!" She screamed "Blood. I saw you at your test. I could never miss you. You're different, You're coat many colors that's rare. I'll be able to spot you in a crowd."
"I should kill you now just for looking at him." I snapped. "Now want me to help you bury her or something?"
"No." I shrugged my shoulders and headed back inside and sat down on the couch next to Nathan. I moved closer so there was no space between us and laid my head on his shoulder.
"What are you doing?" he asked. I didn't want anyone else thinking that he was the dollar that they found and could just pick it up and leave with it. This was my dollar and I wasn't letting anyone take it.
"Nothing," I said.
"Obviously something."
"I just wanted to be with you," I said sweetly.
"Are you sick or something?" I heard Joshua burst into laughter and I looked at him.
"What?" I said.
"Are you calling him?"
"Calling him?"
"Like how we pee on the trees and call this our land are you 'peeing on him'," Nathan laughed.
"No I'm not 'peeing' on him."
"Really because it looks like you are." I glared at him.
"You know I could just mark you right?" Nathan said.
"Okay well this isn't my conversation anymore," Joshua said and stood up. "Bye."
"Not happening," I said.
"I figured but you would have to pee on me anymore." Nathan said laughing.
"I'm not peeing on you!" I said and left. I went outside and shifted I ran deep into the forest but stayed within the boundaries this time. I hated the fact that I couldn't go where I wanted.
"What are you doing here?" Katelin said.
"You first," I said.
"I'm always out here."
"Why?"
"Because this is where I live basically."
"What? Why don't you live in the pack house or something?"
"Because the omega doesn't get to live in there. I have to get my own house or live out here."
"But why are you seen as the lowest? What did you do?"
"It was a long time ago and I prefer not to talk about it."
"Okay then but how do you get food?"
"I hunt. Sometimes I don't get food for a while but I still live."
"Well I'm going to get you into that house."
"No your not they won't give me a room there."
"Then you'll share mine."
"I can't you already share it."
"With who?"
"Your mate."
"How'd you-"
"It's all everyone has been talking about. Your test. His test. You guys are the new psychos enjoy it but don't mess up."
"What do you mean?"
"Don't act like you don't know. That thing behind your ear and his. Try wearing your hair down people don't notice it so much."
"Wait are you talking about-"
"Yeah. That's what got me here today i hate it but I have I deal with it."
"You don't understand it all yet though anyways it all comes when your sixteen."
"What all comes?"
"Your powers there's much more to it then being able make grass turn from brown to green. I thought mine was bad but your in for a rude awakening all the fights, the anger."
"Wait what's going to happen."
"Well I don't know the whole story but I know packs where destroyed."
"How?"
"Because she was the queen all the power in the world, of the world. Queen of all werewolves. Alpha of all alphas. She used her powers for terrible things."
"Why are you telling me this?"
"Because your the new queen."
