Grayson and Griffin were chopping wood for the fire. Grayson had blonde hair, blue eyes, and was incredibly skinny. He was five foot three and weighed 130. Griffin was a exact mirror of his brother, only he had black hair. Grayson grabbed another piece of wood, put it on the stump, rose the axe, and CHOP, he'd split the wood in half. Grayson looked up as he heard a vehicle approach. The vehicle stopped and his friends got out one by one. The first one out was Dakota, a tall, built boy with messy brown hair. He was five foot eleven. Then Timmy got out. He had brown eyes, brown hair, and was a little taller than Grayson. Then Barbara and Andrew got out. Andrew was holding her hand in his. He was six foot, had reddish hair, and blue eyes. Barbara was a little shorter than Grayson. She had Brown eyes, dirty blonde hair, and was frowning. "Hey Guys" Dakota shouted to them. "Go inside. We'll be right in." Grayson said without looking up from his work. "Ok" Timmy said stepping inside.
A moment later they were all gathered around the fireplace, playing Monster Hunter Four. "Hey guys" Grayson said hesitantly." What's on your mind Graystone" Dakota replied. Graystone was a nickname Grayson, was given. "Well you all know we play monster hunter and all. Well you see I kinda made a portal into the game." Grayson said sheepishly.
"Yeah, we did some research online and stuff. We've been working on it for a while." Griffin said to all of them. "Nice joke" Andrew said, amused. "It's true! Follow me, I'll show you!" Grayson said, obviously pissed. "Alright, but I still think you're lying" Andrew said getting up."Here it is!" Grayson said to them, removing the tarp. Under the tarp was a big rectangle that looked somewhat futuristic. "Wow, you weren't lying." Andrew said, impressed. "But does it work?" Barbara said questioningly. "I don't know, I haven't tested it yet." Griffin replied. "Well then let's test it!" Dakota shouted. "I uh, don't know if it is safe." Griffin replied. "Well then lets find out!" Andrew said, pulling the "on" switch. Grayson and Griffin backed it away as it turned on. A purple fog started pooling out of the portal and then the machine turned off. "Well we tested it at least." Tim said from behind them. "Piece of Shit!" Grayson said walking upstairs. Griffin just looked at his brother, disappointed. When Grayson reached the top of the stairs Griffin said "Alright, he's gone. Here's my plan; We take the portal to the science fair without Grayson knowing and see if it works their, if not we haven't lost anything. Are you guys in?" "Sure" They all replied. "Alright, I'll go talk to Grayson. See if I can get him to calm down." Griffin said walking upstairs.
