As Mr. Mike called out the name of new student. All of the class attention went straight to the door. A girl with blonde hair, with huge round glasses, with her hair falling to the right side of her face. She was wearing a yellow top, ripped blue jeans and in she was wearing vans that seemed like she had just bought them recently . Cause they were shiny as heck. She had a confident smile on her face as she entered the classroom.  Mr. Mike and June stood together in the front. As Mr Mike said "Welcome to class 11-J June. I hope you'll make friends and enjoy in this little zoo of mine." Mr. Mike expected the class to laugh at his lame joke instead he got nothing but silence. "So it seem no one laughed at my joke. So there will be a surprise te........". Before Mr. Mike could complete whole class started fake laughing otherwise Mr Mike would have taken a test because of not laughing at his joke. June stood there with Mr. Mike and she smile with a chuckle while looking down. All eyes of the boys were on June. She was so beautiful, elegant, had a wonderful smile that made most of the boys with their mouth left open. Mr. Mike then said June to have a seat. All boys started to argue with his/her mate to vacant a spot for her. Jay was sitting Nancy. Nancy was Jay's girlfriend at that time. Because Jay was a big fuck boi. He would hardly be with any girl for more than a month or so. So he threw Nancy's bag in the back to left the seat next to him empty. Nancy was pissed at Jay's behavior. So they started arguing. June bypassed them and lastly I was the only one who had a vacant spot since Charlie wasn't present and no one else sat with me. Because let's be honest who wants to sit with someone who can't even say his name without stuttering. So I had a spot with me. June bypassed everyone and came to the back and ask "Can I sit here?" with a nice gentle tone. I didn't speak but nodded so she placed her bag on the chair and sat down. I didn't say a word stayed silent the whole time. Mr. Mike started his lecture. All of us were taking notes from it. When he had finished his lecture, he asked if anyone had any questions. As usual all hands remain down. Mr. Mike then said to June " And yeah June if you need the notes or any concept you want to clear, you can just come to me. Or can ask July about it." Everyone as usual started staring at me.
"By the time he'll explain something to June, we'll all have your PhD degrees and he'll be just on the topic's intro" Jay said in a mocking tone. All of the class started laughing. June had no idea she looked confused why everyone was laughing at Jay's joke. Mr. Mike told the class to be quiet. Again as usual Jay with a comment on my disability broke me again. It's was like everytime he said something about my stutter it hurted like someone kept slamming a nail in me with a hammer. And everytime i would get weaker and weaker and weaker. I was there left speechless and students laughing at me like I'm a clown at kids birthday party. The bell rang and he went out. After science class it was our History class. Mr. Jake was our science teacher. But due to some urgent work he couldn't come to the school. So the sub teacher was our P.E teacher. Thank goodness he was in a good mood. So he just told us to just go out and do whatever we want in the playground. Everyone went outside Jay was playing football as usual. Of course, why wouldn't he. He was the cap of our school team. The girls were watching the match and cheering. I sat on a bench that was under this huge tree, that shaded me from the sun. I picked up a leaf that fell from the tree. I was just messing around with the leaf twisting it and crushing it in my hand. Cause was devastated by Jay's comment and it wasn't new that I felt this way. Everytime when someone made a joke about me my heart and my confidence of speaking shattered like a crystal ball. But everytime this happened to me Charlie was always by my side. He always like cheered me up and made me happy by his silliness. He was such great fella.
So as I was siting on the bench,I heard the sound of leaves being crushed by footsteps. The sound came closer and closer. I didn't even bother to look up who it is. "Do you mind if I sit here? Or is the whole bench occupied by you?" said it while chuckling. I raised up my head and saw the bright yellow top and the reflection of the trees and sun in the big round glasses, it was June. She had a graceful smile on her face. I moved aside and made room for her to sit." Why are you sitting here alone? Why aren't you not with those guys playing?", June asked. I simply just stay silent and lowered my turned my head in the other direction. "If you don't mind me asking, why did that boy say that to you?. I again stayed silent on her question. I was too nervous and scared to answer her. What if she's like everyone else and she also starts to make  fun of me. June didn't ask any more questions. She just sat there in silence with me. Both of us sat there in complete silence and just we could hear the sound of wind driving away the leaves and those students playing football.
There was complete silence in between us so i broke the silence and somehow I gathered a little bit courage and replied to her question in low voice. "Be - be - because I'm a stu - stu - stutterer" June seemed surprised not because of the way I spoke but the reason of why Jay made fun of me. "What a jerk he is. I hate people like that. Those type of people disgust me. I'm sorry for what happened in there." June said it in a very humble sweet tone. "Don't worry I'm not like those people who'll make a joke out of it."
