POV: The Gatekeeper + The WIC

"Thirteen billion is close enough to the number of Universes I keep." She said as the Millennium Cube, this she briefly informed me was a tool of immense power. It had just left her hand and began floating up toward the empty formless space above us. The slowly shifting colors of the Borealis began to increase their rate of change. The deep blues and greens were soon nearly completely purple as it eclipsed the last of the blue which at this point had only a twinge of blue that resembled our sky at midday. I finally broke away opting instead to watch the space around begin to change as well. I watched as the Millennium Cube shrunk a bit and seemed to take off as if it had propulsion of its own. I turned away again to see the purplish hue of the illuminated space swirl and pull itself in front of the slowly moving Millennium Cube. The sliver of sky blue dawned as a halo bordering upon the now spherical vortex the Cube was beginning to enter. We simply followed behind it in tandem like children on their first trip to Disney world, propelled by a magic conveyor belt. All the remaining dark space began to fill with the light she herself cast out. "I am Aurora!" She declared as a myriad of blues, purples, intense reds, vibrant yellows and oranges all became visible out in the distance. As they grew in luminosity the Halo surrounding the vortex grew and began to pulsate as it began to solidify itself around the gateway. I peered just past realizing our proximity to the other side of this gateway to see that these sources of light were not currently in the space we were leaving but within the gateway and were minuscule in size compared to the-. My thoughts were cut off as she began to lose volume it seemed. I mean she was literally shrinking down to my height level and it was quite odd to witness as just before that moment she clearly towered over me. However, now we stood at the same height and this is when I noticed that not only were we traveling at but we were moving throughout all space. There wasn't a general direction that I could recognize nor a path that trailed us, and the colors now reflecting off the cube gave way to the only difference I could use to measure some sort of distance. Where we just were and where we were going were two different places not held within the same spaces and yet somehow still connected. She pushed on some sort of barrier I could not see. "The first boundary." She stated. As she pierced through I could mark the losing of Earth in my sight line. The Milky Way Galaxy in its entirety had ceased to be as far as I could see. Of what I could see, the Millennium Cube was now reflecting more white tinted light more so than any other color. "I have found a rift." This she said as she peered my way. "What happens now?" I asked. "Of over 13,000,000,000 routes with equally measured risk, this one here; we must go for it houses Zodia!" "Zodia?" "Yes even our counterparts, human as they may be have yet to touch upon this place." I listened as she seemed to be nearly omnipotent because I had told her nothing. "They wouldn't know of such a place's existence...at least not in their universe." She then placed her hand on the cube and my hearing stopped!"

Earth - "Universe 13" (Home Sweet Home)

POV: Esperanza Eian (Cancer I)

"Man this day fucking sucks! I'm hungry and there is nothing good to eat!" I yelled out in frustration. I made my way to my aunt's house as I yelled it out again. No one was there and it usually was that way ... some days. I took a good look through the window as a breeze blew by. I lived in Miami and it was unusually cool in the middle of spring. I mean we got showers but that usually meant super stuffy sauna like weather afterward. I continued to walk and looked to the sky outside. Not a cloud safe for one. It was shaped like a big, like a big box. "What the hell!" I said aloud. It was nearly still even when I blinked I turned my gaze nearer to the sun and back to find that it hadn't moved. How odd it was that not only was a cubed shaped cloud distracting me from hunger but that it still had yet to move! "Mooooovvvee!" I yelled out. It hadn't moved and then I heard it. My stomach growled but I continued to stare until it finally began to move! I could see past the cloud into a place that was dark and starry. "So far..." I said aloud questioning my own eyes. I blinked only to find that the cube was dissipating and the darkness was consuming its' remains. Then as I blinked again there were these purplish blue eyes staring back at me just like mine only more... Eternal. They looked at me then back toward toward the sun. I followed the gaze but was blinded by the sun . I began to fall backward but hit no concrete as expected, no there was now no sunlight. Only darkness dotted with random lights like a a dark version of a barren christmas tree. It was unnervingly dark and I couldn't hear anything. That is until those eyes I followed now held me in their gaze. The difference now being they were inside a head shaped like mine with a body to match. There with her stood a very sleek and curvaceous pale skinned woman with armor made of icy gemstone. I spoke but still heard nothing. The one that looked like me brought her hand up and rose two fingers up. "I don't think this one knows what it's saying?" I thought to myself. I heard the words out loud and screamed but heard nothing. "Aghhh!" I thought and both women stood back as if hit by a shockwave! "Ok ok who the fuck are y'all!" I both said and heard it. I immediately started to breathe in and out until I was sure I could hear it. "Esperanza you are my counterpart, I am-" "Aurora" I interrupted. Aurora step forward and began to laugh. The other just stared at us both until she too laughed. "Why are you laughing! What the fuck!" I said. "Child you are more powerful than you know but you are human. You are called to become a gatekeeper. In order for this to be you must unite with the Crystal pyramid as will many others. There you will see me again. "What?!" I don't-" I was cut off as the Millennium Cube appeared in her left and reflected every color I could imagine. Then I was gone.
