heyo! firstly, thank you so much for 600+ followers! you guys mean the world to me. also, this is just a 'things about me' kinda chapter i guess. i just thought i should make this in case anyone wants to know more about who i am! and i didn't want to clutter my bio, so here goes!

i am a now 14-year-old amateur writer who lives in brazil. i speak english and portuguese fluently, but i really want to learn french and japanese. i used to speak spanish but i've lost practice, haha. english isn't my first language but i write a lot more in english ─ an interesting thing that started some years ago.

apart from writing, i love to sing, act, dance, paint ─ i even painted something today! ─ and whatnot. as you can probably tell, i really love the arts lolol. my favorite aesthetic is dark academia, but sometimes i dress a bit y2k or even cottagecore. to be honest, i dress more like a homeless man than anything else, because i barely leave my house.

my first book here on wattpad was 'shattered glass', a book about two girls falling in love in the middle of a murder investigation. yeah, i love murder mystery, haha. i entered this book on tons of awards and such, that's why it got 2.3k reads. but, when i went on a hiatus and stopped writing on wattpad, my style improved a lot. since 'shattered glass' was in a completely different style, i unpublished the book. the plot was also all over the place and it would take me ages to rewrite it, so that's the solution i found.

i absolutely adore to read, i read at least 20+ books per year. i haven't actually tracked that to be fair, but that's a good estimate i think. my favorite books are 'the song of achilles' by madeleine miller and 'and then there were none' by agatha christie. my favorite authors, however, are rick riordan, agatha christie and viet thanh nguyen (i'm sorry if i misspelled his name).

the most random things i have done are ice skating (i live in a hot-weathered place) and use my living room's curtains like tree branches as if i were tarzan (i was a weird kid). my birthday is on february 23rd (i will be expecting happy birthday wishes, hehe). mae is not my real name, but i'd rather have you guys call me by this pen name than my real name :)
