Y/n watched as Heize conversed with EXO. They were pretty close and she trusted her so there was no jealousy there. "Hey," she turned and seen Hongjoong. "Are you alright?" she nods.
"Yeah.. Of course I am." Hongjoong then says "Want a drink?" "Please?" he nodded and she soon took a seat and waited.

"Let's go. I want to take you somewhere." Y/n smiled, following Dahye up the ladder. "Where are you taking me, Jang Dahye?" "Just trust me babe." she blushed but climbed soon after.
"I'm going to cover your eyes now." "Awww." Y/n pretended to whine, making her girlfriend laugh. Dahye always found it cute when she was eager.
Soon, her hands were off and Y/n smiled as she looked at the setup. It was a beautiful candlelit dinner with hot and ready meals, and the view was the beautiful night sky.
"This is so beautiful, baby. Thank you." pressing her lips against her cheek, Dahye pulled her chair out for Y/n to sit. "Let's just enjoy this. I want you to feel loved and special." "You make me special." Y/n gave her a quick kiss on the lips and they began to eat.
After they finished their food, Dahye stood up and lent her hand out. "There's no music playing." "We don't need it." Y/n smiles and takes her hand and they slow danced on the roof.

"Here." Y/n takes the glass as her best friend of 4 years say next to her.
"How are you?" he questioned. Due to hectic schedules, they haven't been talking much. But thanks to an album release party, they were finally able to keep in touch. "I don't know, honestly."
Y/n looked at Dahye, who was happy conversing with well known and underground artists. "We will never be accepted, Joong." "Don't say that. No matter what you identify as, I'll always accept you." "I know you will. And I cherish you for that...." she take a sip from her straw, sighing out in frustration.

"What do you mean?!" Y/n questions as she watched the lover of her life sit on the couch. "I thought you loved me."
"You know that I love you. My love for you is infinite." Dahye states. "So what's stopping us from going public. We have been dating for 2 years!"
Dahye nodded, acknowledging that simple fact. "I know that. But they won't accept us." "Who?!" "My fans. They won't accept that I'm gay and they won't accept that I'm dating a person like you, Y/n!" Y/n felt tears run down her face and down to her neck. "So that's what it's about.."
Dahye realized how she said it and regretted it. "That not what I meant, baby." "No... That's EXACTLY what you meant." she turned around grabbing an overnight back and began packing. "Baby don't leave." "I can't stay. I'm not the person that you would look good with."
Dahye wraps her arms around Y/n's waist, causing a whimper to come out. "Please baby... I love you..." "I love you too. But you're right... We won't be accepted and who else knows what could happen next. I rather not lose you in a bitter way." Pressing one final kiss onto Dahye, she breaks free from her grip and walked out of her house.

Hongjoong sat in disbelief. "Because of the fear of not being accepted, because of the fear of the unknown, we called it off." "That's... Heartbreaking." he replied as they walked to a more quiet room.
"It still hurts, Joong. I'm hurt." Y/n let out a yelp, causing him to pull her into his arms. She busted into a fit of tears, grabbing onto his waist. "I just wanna be happy, Joong." "And you deserve to be happy. You deserve to be happy."
Sometimes, we all don't get our happy ending. Instead, we just end up broken and hurt.
