Andrew Jenkins breathed out in a frustrated manner, frost forming and falling from his lips. He had an 89.49 in his Digital Photography. His teacher, thankfully, gave him an extra credit project that Andrew could email to her on December 26, but who would model over the holidays? Almost all of the students were gone for the break. It was December 23 and Andrew would have to cancel his flight to Atlanta, Georgia to see his family. He had to. He couldn't let this class ruin his straight A average. Andrew was in his senior year of FIDM and you could call him a genius for never getting anything lower than a B.
Andrew looked around the vacant New York campus and spotted a captivating blonde walking by. She had a long and lean model figure and silky pure blonde hair. She was gorgeous. Once Andrew got to see her face, she looked quite familiar. "Holly?" he asked, slightly scared that he was mistaken. The girl turned at the sound of her name. Wow. Was all Andrew could think.
"Oh my gosh! Andrew! How are you?" She asked, walking over to hug him. Holly Thompson was Andrew's only love in college. He hadn't seen her since they broke up a year and three months of dating. Andrew was heartbroken when they split, since he was going to propose the very night that Holly suggested they take a break.

It was March 14th, the day that Andrew's heart broke. The Tiffany & Co. engagement ring box was practically burning a hole in his coat pocket. He was so nervous he could cry, but he wouldn't. This question had to work out perfectly. Holly loved him to pieces, how could she not want to spend the rest of her life with him? Andrew parked in the closet spot to Bouley, Holly's favorite restaurant.
Holly knew this had to be a special occasion, due to the fact that they very rarely went here. Her stomach flooded with butterflies. What if he tried to ask her to make a life long commitment? She loved him so much, but she wasn't ready for that - was she? Holly hadn't dated anyone long term before Andrew. She hadn't loved anyone before him. The thought of spending the rest of her life with him made her overjoyed, but utterly anxious.
Mid-meal Andrew stood from his seat and kneeled to one knee. Everyone in the restaurant gasped and looked over, a few dramatic women having tears rimming their eyes from memories of when this same thing happened to them. Andrew's breath was unstable as he reached into his pocket and unboxed the ring. "Holly Anne Thompson, will you-" He couldn't even get out the word "marry" before Holly jumped up.
"No, no, I can't do this." She looked around, tears falling to her cheeks. People had all eyes on her, looks of complete shock on their faces. She was turning down a proposal? "I'm sorry, Andrew." Holly said before grabbing her clutch and running out of the room.
Andrew waited two weeks for her to call or text. She couldn't just abandon him. The ring box ws set on his desk for those 14 days. At 8:41 PM on Tuesday, March 28, Andrew gave up on her. He didn't stop loving her, and didn't return the ring, but he knew that Holly Thompson was gone from his life for good. He wouldn't see her again.

Andrew kept the ring in the middle drawer of his coffee table, in hopes that Holly would return, begging for his forgiveness and confessing her undying love. Over the 1 year, 9 months, and 10 days, Andrew never heard from Holly. He never even saw her around school.
"I'm fine, I guess. I'm havuing a little bit of extra credit struggle." Andrew stated after realizing that he got lost in his thought. "You look great, by the way." He added. She really did look amazing. When they were dating, she was leaning on plump, albeit still completely perfect. Now, she was just as perfect, but with an extra perk. She was still 5'10, but her long, lean, and toned legs made her seem like a giant. She was even more stunning and breathtaking.
