Chapter 19

Stefan's POV

It's been a couple of days of welcoming, not only the new students for year 7, but also some new members of staff, we said goodbye to a few teachers before summer, there was the music teacher Mrs Kingston, an English teacher Mr Bryan as he retired, no offence to him but he looked old enough to have personally known Charles Dickens, and a languages teacher Mrs Abella, the school has actually made a change to languages, I think this change will be great, it's a trial period and something new, it's a risk but hopefully it'll work out, they've added sign language as a subject, so now students will be able to learn French and British Sign Language here, I think it's amazing, sign language will be fun for the kids to learn and I hope it'll be a huge success.

Anyway, in replacement of departed teachers, we've welcomed new English teacher Mrs Jackson, Music teacher Mr Pryce, there's no new French teacher as we had two, so just a new BSL teacher, Miss Watson. Mr Pryce and Miss Watson are quite young teachers, and Stan seems to have taken a liking to Miss Watson, or as we know her as, Holly, Stan is getting to know her rather well, he fancies her, not that he has said anything, but it's obvious. And then Mr Pryce's first name is James, but we don't know much about him, just that he's Welsh, nice accent, and good with music, mind you, he's not bad looking, and he's around late 20s or early 30s, so he may be popular with the young ladies.

Mrs Jackson, we haven't met yet, she had something on so couldn't attend the first couple of days, but I do believe she is starting today, so we'll meet her soon.

"Morning Stan" I greet as I walk into the staff room and see him having a sit down with a hot drink, talking to Holly. "Morning Holly" I greet as I put my bag on the floor and grab myself a nice coffee.

"Morning Stefan" Holly smiles.

"Alright man?" Stan greets, also questioning.

"Yeah I'm good thanks" I say as I wait for the kettle.

"Holly and I were just talking about the other new teacher starting today, what's the name?" Stan says and questions.

"Mrs Jackson, for English" Holly answers.

"That's right, I'm kinda looking forward to meeting her" Stan says. I make my coffee and perch again the counter with it.

"Hopefully she's alright" I say as I take a sip. Hot. A few minutes go by where I am just listening to Stan and Holly's conversation.

"Oh, my, god, no way" Stan says out of nowhere. I look over at him looking past me, so I immediately turn around.

Oh god, no way! This cannot be happening! No, I am dreaming, or rather, having a nightmare. I blink a few times and remember that I'm not asleep. Nope. I'm living a nightmare.

"Morning everyone" Mrs Jackson greets with a innocent smile.

Mrs Jackson, or as Stan and I know her, Mrs Hall-Plug.

"What's going on?" I ask in disbelief.

"Colt, Thompson, is it really you two?" She asks as she recognises us. I thought I had seen the last of her 8 years ago.

"It's really us" Stan answers. She takes her big coat off and hangs it up, isn't it a bit hot for big coats? It's not far into September, she turns to face us again and our jaws drop, literally. She's pregnant! And she has a bigger bump than Addi, and Addi is visibly pregnant now, with being over 4 months, but she's gotta be around 6 months along, give or take.
