9: the forest

A WEEK LATER:

I still couldn't believe that everyone wanted me to stay, especially Seokjin and Namjoon.  

Namjoon did sales work from home, Seokjin owned his part-time cooking business, Yoongi worked in a café, Hoseok and Jimin were dance teachers, Jungkook worked in a gaming shop, and Taehyung was a freelance painter.

"Namjoon?" I asked, as I approached him. "Are we still going to the place you wanted to take me later on?"

Namjoon lowered his newspaper and pushed up his glasses, "Of course (Y/n). I don't make promises I can't keep" 

As sweet as Namjoon was, he could be quite secretive at times. For the past week, he has wanted to take me to a 'special place', which he hasn't gone into detail about.

I'm very excited, since I've been stuck indoors recovering from my injuries all week!

"Alright" I smiled, "I'll let you get back to work"

Namjoon grinned, "Thank you (Y/n). I promise it will be something you'll never forget"

I gushed as Namjoon's adorable dimples formed. I couldn't help but poke his cheeks, causing a light rose to form on them.

LATER ON:

"I can't believe this..." I breathed as Jimin led me into a forest, which happened to be behind the house I was staying in.

Because I have been stuck indoors recovering from my injuries, I haven't had the chance to explore my surroundings.

Rows of bold and proud towering trees surrounded the large house as the sun's rays peaked through their canopies.

The tree stumps were grand, chunky and coated in moss, and I assumed they'd been there for centuries.

The soil was moist and fluffy against my shoes, and various plants such as dandelions, poppies and daisies were scattered across the large surface.

An earthly scent graced my nostrils, and the air was the purest as a cool breeze surrounded me.

I found it very hard to believe I was still in the city.

"You coming or what (Y/n)?" Jimin called from behind, snapping me out of my trance.

"I've never seen anything on like this!" I mumbled, completely captivated by my surroundings. "How do you even get used to living in a forest?"

"Eh, when you're of our kind this is the perfect place" Jimin shrugged.

I didn't respond as I was so awestruck.

A massive grin spread across my face, and I spread my arms out as a fiery sensation spread across my body and up to the tips of my fingers,

"I feel so... free!!" I wailed, spinning around, causing the cool breeze to go through the gaps in my fingers.

"This is amazing!" I sound around faster and faster, as the magic of nature consumed me whole.

"Be careful not to trip!" Jimin giggled, "If you're shocked by this, you've seen nothing yet (Y/n)"

I stopped spinning, causing me to feel very dizzy. Jimin grabbed my shoulders to help steady me.

"Wait-what?! There's more?!"

"Uh-huh" He chuckled. "Want to play hide and seek?"

"Er well, maybe in a bit-" Before I could finish my sentence, Jimin had sprinted off. 

That little munchkin! That's so unfair cos I barely know my way around! 

I began running through the grand forest, as I tried to find my friend. 

I felt like Bella trying to catch up to Edward in Twilight, in New Moon.

A bush rustled nearby, causing me to whip my head toward the direction. A couple of birds flew out of it, and I approached it but no sight of Jimin.

"(Y/n)... oh (Y/n)~" Jimin cooed, as his voice echoed around the forest.

"Jimin! Come back here!" I barked, becoming frustrated at his antics.

I huffed and continued running wherever I thought he was. Everything looks the same in this damn forest. I don't think I'm going to find him tonight!

"Behind you, (Y/n)" Jimin giggled, as he placed his hands on my shoulders.

"You idiot!" I barked and lightly slapped his head.

"You're going to need to shed some pounds if you wanna catch up to us" Jungkook came from behind Jimin.

"Don't you start" I glared at the youngest, causing a huge grin to spread across his face.

"He's right (Y/n)" Taehyung's voice echoed around us and I felt a loud thud from behind. "Now you're living with us, you're going to have to keep up"

I turned around and almost fell back in shock at him. I realised a few leaves were tangled in Taehyung's hair as he dusted his hair down.

"Tell me I'm going mad, but you just jump from that tree?! It's at least 5 metres tall!" I wailed, glancing at Jimin and Jungkook in desperation. "Are you even human?!

"That's for me to know and you to find out!" Taehyung chuckled and flicked my forehead.

Okay then, I am going mad!

Jimin giggled, "Don't worry about it. Tae-hyung's a weird one"

I stiffened as Taehyung suddenly leaned in close and started sniffing my neck, "You smell nice. Just like one of us"

A smirk spread across his face as he moved back, turned on his heel and sprinted through the forest.

"So very weird..." I mumbled, completely dumbfounded by his nature.

"Let's catch up to him, shall we?" Jungkook suggested.

"Oh no, I don't think I can do any more running today guys" I groaned, causing him and Jimin to laugh.
