I wait for an answer as I watch Shawn through the open window of the cab.

"No it's fine, you have stuff to do. I don't want to bother." He finally says.

"Nonsense come on, let me get you something to drink."

"No Emma seriously it's fine. You have stuff to do."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah!"

"Okay..." I say and turn around ready to leave but I then turn around with a thought in my head. "Are we okay?"

"Yeah! Why wouldn't be?"

"I don't know tonight was really awkward."

"Yeah, but I mean not every night is gonna be perfect."

"Right." I say as I balance myself back and forward not knowing what to say. "So bye then?"

"Bye." With this I turn around and start walking again, but even though he said everything was fine I don't feel fine. So as soon as I hear the tires start to move I turn around again.

"No! Shawn! Wait!" Once again Shawn tells the driver to stop and he turns to me chuckling.

"What Emma?" He asks me with a chuckle.

"I don't feel fine about this. Please come inside."

"What about your homework?"

"I'll do it later. Look I give a damn about my homework. I don't know if I'll be able to see you again this week and then you leave next week. And we might not see each other for a while. And I don't want to leave things like this. So please get your ass off that cab and come upstairs with me." I say this in a firm tone and I can see Shawn liking what I just said. He just smiles at me and turns to the driver.

"This will be my stop thanks." He says handing the driver some money.

"Good! I would've kicked you out anyway." The driver says taking the money. This makes me chuckle and with that Shawn comes out the cab as soon as he's out I throw my arms at him. I hug him and try to force in all the tears that are threatened to come out as a river in. He hugs me back but I can tell he's confused.

"Are you okay?" He asks me as he rubs my back.

"Yeah, it's just a lot of stuff going on. And I'm sorry I ruined the night." I say leaving his arms.

"You didn't ruined anything." He tries to confort me, and although he made me smile, I still feel like crap deep down. But I shake the thought away and just grab his hand and pull him to walk behind me towards my apartment.

"We both know I did." I say as I step on the first stair. We both start going up, his hand still in mine. Both in silence obviously the conversation is over. We were about to arrive to my floor when I hear Shawn talk.

"So what did your brother said of the scene he caught us in?" This makes me laugh, so I do. Once we're at my door I take out the keys and start unlocking the door.

"Well he actually didn't said a thing, neither to Jen or me. But I have my reasons as to why is this." I say once I unlock my door letting us in. I walk us to the kitchen where I leave Jen's keys and my bag on the counter. I offer Shawn some water but he tells me he's okay. I grab my water bottle I left here earlier, and drink every second I have a chance.

"Really? Care to share?" He smirks at me as we both sit on the kitchen stools.

"Oh I have been dying to share them with someone." And I tell him my suspicions about them being together and all the clues. Obviously I change the throwing up in the morning for getting up for a glass of water. And for a moment I forgot everything that was going on. For I moment I felt as it was Saturday or any other of the times we have hanged out. It felt nice as usual. The awkward night was past beyond us. There we were both of us talking sitting in the kitchen counter. Me talking about my crazy conspiracy theory and him listening like it's the most interesting thing he has ever heard. "But you know since she's ignoring our relationship I feel I should ignore hers too."
