Leah Hayes wants, no needs, to buy the perfect gift, being the Secret Santa for Bryan Burton, aka her in-the-background crush since fifth grade. Leah knows that this Christmas will bring said background crush through the next ten levels, maybe even finally into acknowledgment. But the thing is, Bryan’s one dying wish can only be found all the way in the city. And ‘Dean’s Sports’ don’t do deliveries.
So, is Leah’s determination going to be able to withstand a weekend cramped in a car with Rowan, the nerdy old-enough-to-drive neighbour, and Nancy, Leah’s seventy year old grandmother escaping knitting club?
