Chapter 11: The Dance Part 1

Y/N POV:

A few days passed since our fight with Roman and Neo, with things returning to normal with the exception of everyone's excitement for the Dance coming up.

Right now Aiden and I are sitting in Ms.Goodwitches class to see the match between Pyrrha and Team CRDL.

Y/N: (This is so exciting!)

Hanari: (I can't wait to see how champion fights)

Pyrrha walks to the stage readying her weapons and gets into her battle stance.

Glynda: Begin!

Pyrrha starts off by striking Cardin who tries to counter only to hit her shield before getting driven back. He falls to one knee then rolls to dodge as she comes down from above.

She then launches her Spear at Dove knocking him down, as she changes her weapon to it's rifle mode and shoots at Sky who dodges and goes for a strike only for Pyrrha to block it with her shield.

She switches her weapon from sword to Spear mode driving him back, firing another shot before knocking him to the ground.

She then goes for Cardin again who unleashes a short column of fire by slamming his Mace filled with Red Dust to the ground.

She dodges the blast then blocks Cardin's swing before he and Sky attempt to double-team Pyrrha. Only for her to avoid them both before vaulting over Cardin.

She then throws her shield, which hits Cardin in the face and bounces back to hit Sky as well. She then flips backwards through the air to catch it then land on Sky, incapacitating him.

Dove and Russel rush her together, but she is able to drive them back. Kicking Dove away who manages to recover, landing on his feet as Cardin leaps in to smash at her with his mace.

Pyrrha changes her weapon to its rifle mode and opens fire, but Russel defends Cardin, deflecting every shot with his weapon. He and Dove charge at Pyrrha, with Russel leaping into the air and performing a triple somersault. However, the double-kick attack is easily blocked with her shield.

Russel and Dove proceed to strike at Pyrrha together, as Pyrrha has forced back but still managing to parry both of their attacks, Cardin then tries to take advantage of the opportunity as Pyrrha fires at him as he deflects each shot.

He charges at her only to be met with a knee to the chin, the two clash with Cardin receiving several hits. Russel ducks in under Cardin for a surprise attack, but also proves himself unable to wear her down.

She continues to dodge every slash then hits him with her shield, Dove moves in after Russel is knocked to the ground. After a couple of deflected swipes, he fires on her with his weapon, but she is able to bull right through using her shield.

Dove manages to dodge her charge only for Cardin to accidentally knock him out as he moves in for another assault.

Pyrrha knocks Cardin into the air and then leaps after him. Cardin blocks a few hits but she quickly maneuvers herself to slams him into the ground.

Glynda: And that's the match.

Cardin: Lucky shot.

He then passes out.

Glynda: Well done, Miss Nikos. You should have no problem qualifying for the tournament.

Pyrrha: Thank you, professor.
