The Missing Princess Of Twilight (A LOZ Twilight Princess Fanfiction)

chapter 1: Reality of the Twili

did you know there's a world in-between the realms of light and darkness? it's called the Twilight realm, you hear such scary stories of monsters living in that realm, monsters that snatch up children never too be seen again, scary bedtime stories i'm sure every Hylian child has heard of atleast once made up by adults to scare the children to do as there told to, to be good and not bad, well what if i told you the realm of twilight was real, it's not like those stories though, the people who live there are not monsters even though they look different then Hylians do, they live in shadows not being able to touch the light of day, its kinda sad really, but they do have light of their own, blue orbs of light, there is such thing as day and night there but the day time looks like twilight well the night is so much darker, most twili have evolved to be able to see in the dark and like it, there world is not much different though from the world of light, theirs twilight cities that are on giant floating rocks, if you look down you see nothing but a black void, one of the many dangers of the world, All the twili children and adults know about the dangers of their world and one such danger is 'the ledge'. Don't go near the ledge! Were you next to the ledge?! Children go missing from the ledge, they fall to there deaths or so they were all told by the elders, not just children but adults too and they never come back, many of the twili avoid the ledge, some arias have huge walls around the ledges to keep the people safe but some over time have fallen making it dangerous again, there's also huge twilight birds that fly around, some of the twili have managed to tame a few using powerful magic, the only ones able to use such magic are the elders, the "royal family" and those who are aloud to study and learn the magic of old. in this twilight realm there is a king, his name is Zant, his queen who gave him 3 children vanished, her name was Tessa, she was beautiful, she was the only twili with bright yellow hair and eyes, one would think she was goddess Hylia reborn into a twili, she and Zant had 3 children, Ruby, Jade and Azura, they were called the twili princesses, Ruby the oldest had bright red flaming hair and blood red eyes, some say she was the goddess Din reborn because of her abilities of fire, it came natural to her like breathing, when angry her eyes light up and the air around her feels hot, the second daughter Jade had bright green hair and eyes and could make plants grow even in the realm of twilight, they say she could be the reincarnation of the goddess Farore because of her powers and looks, she always smells of roses and her attitude is as sharp as a thorn, the third and youngest of the 3 is Azura, she has icy blue hair and eyes, her skin is as pale as snow and as cold as ice, she can make ice form and make it snow when upset, she has to be the goddess Nayru reborn right? she is by far the nicest out of the three girls and helps out any way she could, all the twili loved her for her kind heart and kindness to others, Ruby was mean and cruel to people she talked too thinking she's better then them because she's a princess, the twili try staying away from her, Jade was also very mean to anyone who tried to speak to her, she would snap at them and order people around. they lived in a huge palace that all the twili can see, in this palace there were lots of maids and servants of the royal family of twilight, one such maiden was a woman named Midna, she was kind and cared for the princesses, she would do there hairs and makeups and was there teacher, she taught them about the twili language and how to read and wright, what's good and bad, Midna was always around to help and she had a deep secret that she could never tell a soul, her secret was that she was deeply in-love with Zant, the twilight king, even though he had a wife. then one day Tessa got very sick and was dying, the day she died was a very sad day in the twilight realm, but a very happy day in the realm of light, why? because that day princess zelda was born, well everyone in the realm of light celebrated, everyone in the twilight realm grieved over there now dead queen who was loved by all, this hurt Zant but he tried so hard to not show it for the sake of his children, a year later has passed since then and Midna tried very hard to be there to help in anyway she could and slowly over time Zant grew to like Midna more and more, all 3 of the young princesses seemed to like Midna more than the other twili, one day well Zant was in a meeting with the elders about putting up more walls to prevent more twili from falling to there deaths, Ruby, jade and azura were out in the palace garden playing, Midna was busy making lunch for the princesses, the 3 girls who cared for one another played with a very colorful glowing orb as a ball throwing it to each other like they often do in the garden, it was a safe place or so they thought because of the huge walls, Midna would stop what she was doing for a minute to look out into the back garden to check on the girls before going back to making their food, she knew what each girl loved to eat, Ruby loves spicy foods and meat, Jade loved veggies and greens, she hates meat, Azura loves sweets like fruits and pastries, she also loves sweet meats, this made Midna's job easier for her to work on. in the garden Ruby sat down to rest under the huge tree, one of the few actual trees in the twilight realm, she watched as jade tossed the ball of light to Azura a few times, then something happened, jade tossed the ball a bit higher and Azura jumped to grab it and kinda tripped hitting the wall, she sat on the ground holding the ball and was about to get up when the wall and ground under her fell! she screamed as loud as she could and both jade and ruby ran to help Azura, jade grabbed azura's hand well ruby held onto jade and screamed for help, Midna came running hearing the screams and saw ruby holding jade who had Azura's hand well over the new ledge, Midna rushed over to help but by the time she got there is was too late, azura's hand slipped out of jade's hand and she screamed as she fell into the void, Midna saw the ground under the other two about to give way so she quickly scooped them up running into the palace, about half the back garden fell, both Jade and ruby ran to there father and told him what had happened to Azura, Zant hugged the two sobbing girls who kept saying:"I tried to save her! I really tried!", Zant picked up his now 2 daughter and hugged them well crying for his youngest believing her to be dead, Midna was very sad and blamed herself for not being able to save Azura, Zant carried his two oldest children inside and put them down then went to the elders and told them what happened, he demanded the elders for a wall around the the entire city of twilight  so no more children would die and so they used there magic building a wall so high the children could not climb it and so no more children would die, they also used there magic to fortify the ground so it would be strong enough to not break apart, after that jade and ruby never really went outside again and Midna watched them more carefully, Zant had become broken a little more inside.

 ~Ordon Springs~ winter

it was a cold winter day and a boy named Link, about 10 years of age walked threw the snow to Ordon springs with his young horse Epona, the springs get oddly warm in the winter, as he walked into the springs he saw a girl laying in the water, she had icy blue hair and pale white skin, she looked about 5 years old, she was floating in the springs passed out. The young boy walked to the strange girl who looked to be Haylian like him, as he walked to her he saw a bright light and the spirit of the springs Farron, he spoke to the young boy:"Young child of the goddesses, you who have come to this spring so many times, help this lost child of twili in her journey to find who she is, protect her oh hero of the goddesses". After that the spirit vanished and the young boy goes up to the girl and lifted her out of the water, she opens her eyes and looks up at him.

Girl: w.....who are you? Were am i?
Boy: my name is Link and your in Farron woods
Girl: oh.......i'm.........Azura
Link: ok, Azura, where are you from?
Azura: i........i can't remember
Link looked worried and grabbed Azura's hand and walked the small girl to the village, as they walk Azura looks around smiling and seeing the snow covered trees and ground, Link brings her first to his tree house then down the path to the village. Azura looks around in awe seeing the houses and shops and the small lake/pond  covered in ice. As link and Azura walk more a young girl around Link's age runs up to him holding a basket for a pick-nick.
Link: oh hello Illia
Illia: LINK! look! I made some food for me and you! I worked all day on it...........wait who is this girl?
Link: oh this is Azura, I found her at the springs
Illia: oh.......well you better bring her to my father the Mayor
Azura looked at Illia and smiled some then frowned seeing how Illia's eyes kinda glared at her. Illia honestly did not like Azura, thought she was bad news but brushed it off some and took Link and Azura to her house to see the mayor.
Mayor Bo: well hello there Link, who is that with you?
Link: her name is Azura, I found her, she has no memory of who she is
Bo: oh I see
As Link and Bo talk, Illia took Azura to her room and walked to her dresser.
Illia: I don't know who you are or were you came from and i really dont care as long as you stay away from my Link, got that!
Azura: oh uh ok? 
Illia: oh and another thing, you must do as i say too! There are rules you must obey
Azura: rules?
Illia: yes rules like you have to  treat me like a princess! Oh and no stealing from me hehehe
Before Azura could talk, Illia and Azura ware called down by the mayor, once down the steps the mayor told Azura that Link is adopting her as a little sister, Illia was shocked and a bit mad but hides that with a smile, Azura nods and looks at Link smiling. Before Link and Azura left the house, Illia hugged Link smiling and glared daggers at Azura, neither Link or Bo saw it only Azura, after that Link took Azura to his tree house after introducing Azura to everyone in the village, Link told Azura that she can live with him in the tree house until he can make her, her own tree house, Azura nodded and smiled some, the people she met in ordon were very nice and there was a young boy by the name of Andrew, he has blond hair and blue eyes and Azura became fast friends with Andrew, he is Rusl and Uli's oldest son.
