Chapter 29

Nic hasn't talked to me all week, I think he hated my guts. I don't like Brent, I slapped him in the face after that. I feel like my life is somewhat ruined. I have cried every morning, afternoon, and night since it happened. Brent also found a new girl friend, so he is again out of the question.
I have probably texted Nic a million times, but he doesn't respond. The only person I now have to talk to is Meg. And we got pretty close after AwesomenessTV. Plus, she's coming over today, any minute now actually!
Meg's P.O.V
I am a few blocks away from Winters apartment. She wanted me to come over so I can talk to her. I swear I could punch this "Nic" guy in the face. What a jerk!

"Hey Winter!" I say when I walk through her unlocked door. She smiles and wipes her tears. "I thought you would be tougher than to cry!" I laugh and Winter laughs too.
"You're right Meg!" Winter says, standing up now. "I can't cry over BOYS!"
"You are right Winter! I bet there is some boy out there who would love you enough to forgive you!" I say, smiling about how she's on a role.
"Yeah! I will find one now! With you!" Winter shouts, running through the door.
"Winter! You're in pajamas!" I shout then giggle. Winter gives me an embarrassed look, and runs in to change.
Winters P.O.V
I quickly change into a red T-shirt that says "Wèïrd" and a blue skater skirt. And then I race down the hallway of the apartment building and out to the breezy air.
"Where to first?" Meg asks, panting as she catches up to me.
"Starbucks. There might be cute guys there and we should get a drink!" I shout. And then we decide to ride our penny boards to the nearby Starbucks.
"Ow!" Meg shouts behind me. She sits on the ground rubbing her head.
"Here let me help you!" A boy behind me says. I know who it is, and I won't tell Meg or make eye contact. It's Nic.
"Thank you!" Meg whispers once Nic helps her up.
"Meg I am gonna go, meet me there?" I ask and then skate off, tears welling up into my eyes.
Meg's P.O.V
The boys name is Nic, but he is too nice to be Winters old boyfriend.
He took me to lunch at Subway, and tells me all about himself. I am honestly falling in love.
"Eat your vegetables!" I imitate in a mother-type-of-voice.
"Cookie firwst!" Nic whines as a baby voice, pounding his fists on the table.
We look at each other and after a minute we lean in for a kiss. Omg that was fast!
"I have to go!" I say and race out the door.
I skate again to meet Winter at the Starbucks, where I see her drinking from three cups.
"Finally you get here!" She says and straightens her posture.
"Sorry I was having lunch with this guy named Nic!" I say and sit next to her. "We also kissed!"
"Really Meg? I thought it would be easy for you to see he was my old boyfriend!" Winter spats at me, and people start to stare. "I am leaving!"
