My life changed a few weeks after the night of March 17, 2019. I was strolling around the neighborhood alone, when I had found a small dog injured on the side of the road. The street seemed strangely eerie, with absolutely nobody around, and only the street lamps to light the way. Nevertheless, i decided to take the dog in, and assist in its recovery.

April 22: I had made breakfast and decided to go to the local grocery store to restock on some supplies so I didn't forget. As I prepared to leave, I thought I had seen that dog from a few weeks earlier... Must've been my imagination. I must've missed him more than I thought.

1 hour later

I had spent longer in that store than I would've hoped for. I grabbed some other things since I had extra cash to spare. I was a few blocks away from the house, and noticed a large puff of smoke emerging from its general area.
As quickly as I could, I dashed towards my home, hoping it wasn't covered it flames.

I arrived to see multiple firetrucks and firemen attempting to calm the flames. The entire house was covered in a blanket of fire and smoke. I saw something odd in my peripheral vision, it was the dog I had helped recover, staring blankly at the flaming house, he didn't blink once. It was like he was a statue, he did not move or blink. His stare was oddly haunting, his eyes were pure black. The only thing I saw in his eyes was the reflection of the flaming house. I was approached by 2 firemen, telling me that nothing inside the house made it. All of my possesions were gone.

May 2nd: I had been staying in an apartment for the past few weeks, but I've still been seeing that damn dog. Luckily I had gotten some cash from my mother. Ever since I let that dog into my house I've had nothing but bad things happen to me. It was like a curse, as if I had to suffer this until I died. I needed to find other people suffering this so I have someone to talk to. I went to an older, but still active to this day. I posted a desperate plea to see if anyone had been suffering anything similar. I was wondering why nobody responded, til I realized the post had been removed. I was puzzled on why I wasn't able to post it again. After the 3rd time, I recieved an email from an email I had never seen before. The subject was "Stop trying, you can't escape"
I opened the full email to see a .txt file, a batch file and a jpeg. First thing I clicked was the text file, since I was curious. It read "Run" over and over for about 100 lines. I opened the jpeg file and it was a distorted image of the dog.

I opened the batch file last. The moment I opened the batch file the computer shut off. I put my hand on the computer to see if it overheated. When I set my hand on it I felt pain in my palm. As a reflex, I pulled my arm back quickly, and looked at my hand. I had a minor burn on the palm and the tips of my fingers. I had to do something besides sit there and look at it. I walked over to the appartment door and tried to turn the knob. No luck. Tried to turn the lock, nothing.  I was locked in from the inside. I went to my window and looked out. I saw the dog outside, staring at me blanking. He was staring at me the same way he was staring at my entire life being destroyed in front of me. Everything I've ever owned, Everyone Ive ever known and All my possesions. Gone forever. All because of a fucking dog.

I looked at the clock, it had been 3 hours since the doors locked and still no luck. Every time I glanced at the window I saw the haunting stare. My computer screen had nothing but the picture on it. It had been quiet, until i tried to power the pc off. A loud static noise came from the computer. I didn't know what to do, everything I did made it worse. So what could I do? Do I just let this stupid fucking dog ruin my life or do I do something. My only emotion was fear, I had to do whatever I had to so I made it through. It then struck me, there is a fire escape. It was underneath the window, if I could get out of the window, I would be free.

I attempted to open the window, to no avail. I tried to unlock it and open, still nothing. So I decided to attemt to smash the window to get out. I searched the room until I came across a screwdriver I was using to do some work on my laptop. So I gripped the screwdriver in my hand firmly, and swung the handle at the window at full force. The window shattered almost immediately. I ignored the jagged edges and climbed onto the fire escape, which was only a few feet down from my window.

I ran down the escape, onto the sidewalk of a busy street. It was 3 in the morning and I was standing out there, no idea where to go. I couldn't go back into the apartment. Some cars passed by, but every time I could see the other side of it, I would see the dog's stare. Gazing blankly, standing still as if he was a statue. People were looking at me, staring across the street. My clothes were torn up and I was bleeding from multiple spots. After around an hour of me standing and staring, I didn't realize how long I was there.

I heard sirens in the distance, coming closer. I then saw and ambulance and about 6 police cars. I broke the stare to look at my surroundings, there were police cars surrounding me. A police man came to me, asking what had happened. I told him this dog had been following me and ruining my life, but he didn't beliebe a word I was saying. He told me I was under arrest and attempted to put me in handcuffs. I wouldn't let it happen, I was the one suffering. They dont know what suffering like this is. I realized I still had my screwdriver. I grabbed it out of my pocket and drove the sharp end into the police mans stomach. He went backwards and drew his gun, but I wasn't going to die here. Before I knew it, I had been shot in my chest.
