They had all six met earlier in the city center, but it's when that night fell on Bangalore that the six friends separated again. Jari and Olli went away together to the restaurant and the others left them at their datenight to take a stroll through the streets. Marko and Markus were walking in front, animatedly discussing an ongoing musical project planned for the following year which they had started to discuss with their friend and director Miika Hakala. They were always eager to see their projects come to fruition and they didn't hesitate to give weeks if not months to work for their ideas to succeed. To tell the truth, they were working much more on what they liked than with the fear that their fans didn't like, and deep down, that may be what the fans liked, because it made their music more authentic or at least more personal.
As they moved slowly through the city, Jaska couldn't miss Jani's gaze, looking at the singer, as if he was absent. The bass player was walking on the guitarist's right and Jaska caught himself watching him for a moment, jealously wondering if there was anything more in him that pleased Marko. But he knew well that none of this concerned him, and that the complicity of the two others was simply different from that which he shared with Marko. Tonight, he didn't want to torture his mind like that, and besides, he didn't understand why he hadn't stopped thinking about it today. Certainly having slept with the singer had disturbed him but everything would be better tomorrow.
"- What if we go to a club ? He spontaneously proposed to the bass player.- In a club ? There like that, suddenly ? Why ?
- Why not ?"
Jani, amused, seemed to study the guitarist's unexpected idea for a few seconds before silently nodding and responding.
"- It is true that we would laugh well, and then a little relaxation will do us no harm, said him, gettig excited about it."
The bass player took his cell phone out of his pocket and began frantically searching the nearest nightclub on his screen. After all, they all wanted to have fun and enjoy their time in India, and maybe he could dance with Marko so why deprive himself ? But still, thinking about the singer disturbed him. He had felt him different lately, maybe a little more distant. Of course he knew that their relationship was not destined for anything serious, they had announced the color from the start, but for the bassist, it was too difficult to hold back his attraction for the other. He glanced at the brown guitarist without noticing his eyes, hidden behind his sunglasses. He couldn't help but be jealous of him. He knew how strong the link between Marko and Jaska was. How could anyone ignore the nature of their relationship ? This is also why sometimes he wanted to speak to Marko, to really try to build something before it was too late. But he was too afraid of losing the singer, even if he only had him with himself for a few nights. And he was just as afraid of hurting himself.Jaska noticed that Jani had frozen for a moment, staring into the void. Without him really knowing why, he felt guilty about him, in addition to feeling jealous. He had a hard time admitting that Marko and Jani shared these special moments too. He found it hard to accept that one of his friends could feel such things for the singer. Naturally, the bassist's feelings were going more and more noticeable, and somewhere, Jaska feared that Marko would gradually go away from him in favor of the other. He didn't understand why he had always wanted to keep the singer for himself. He had tended to consider that it was only linked to a need of affection that he had developed since his youth. To tell the truth, in the past, it hadn't always been appreciated, and even less loved. Very often, he had faced loneliness or even isolation, sometimes due to the insistent mockery of some of his mates. Over time, he had forged a mask of indifference or seeming impassiveness, but Marko often told him that when he smiled, he betrayed his deep sensitivity, no matter how much he had changed in those dark years. It was precisely near the singer that he had found rest and slowly learned to accept himself and gradually to regain self-confidence. He knew everything he owed Marko, and he had to admit that the idea of sharing this man jealously displeased him if not selfishly.
