A new beginning

First day of school

Beep. Beep. Beep. 

"Nooo." I groan into my pillow. How can it be 6:30 already??

I turn over and turn off my alarm. I am very tempted to hit snooze but I know if I do I will not have enough time to get ready. 

I walk over to the bathroom and take a quick shower before I get ready. I am not a big makeup person all i usually ever put on is mascara and concealer. 

I let my hair air dry and I am very thankful for my natural hair because it is actually decently straight and it doesn't really frizz that much. 

I open my closet doors as I decide what to wear. I pull out a pair of lightly ripped jeans along with a plain white t-shirt with a jean jacket  

I walk down stairs to see a note that my mom left me. 

Left for work have a good day at school

I pulled out the box of cereal for breakfast and made myself a bowl. 

While I am eating I pull out my phone and scroll through Instagram. 

Once I finish my bowl I grab my backpack and my phone and head to my car. 

I quickly send a text to Chelsea 

Here goes nothing!

I start my car and head to the high school. The drive to school isn't too bad probably about 10 minutes.

Once I pull in I see a lot of people hanging out by there cars or walking in. Wow. I didn't expect there to be this many people. 

I park my car and thankfully so far I don't stand out everyone is just going on with there conversations.

 I open my car door and grab my backpack from the back seat and make my way in the school. I see a few people look my way and make awkward eye contact with me but for the most part the start of the day isn't too bad. 

I walk into the front doors and thankfully the office is right there. I would've definitely got lose had it not been right in the front. 

"Hi how can I help you?" The front lady asks me giving me a sweet smile. 

"Hi today's my first day." I tell her.

"Oh are you Lexi Soul?" She asks and I nod my head. "Awesome. We are so excited to welcome you here. I hope you love it." She says as she hands me my schedule. 

"Thank you!" I say as I look at it. 

"Now let me find you someone that can show you around a little bit. Oh Carly! Carly!" She yells to a girl walking past the door. 

She turns towards us and smiles. She is very blond and has bright blue eyes.

"Yes Mrs. Kelly?" She says walking up next to me. 

"Carly this is Lexi it is her first day would you mind to show her around a little bit so she doesn't get lost." Mrs. Kelly says. 

"Oh not at all follow me." She says and we head out the office. I make sure to smile at Mrs. Kelly thanking her for all her help. "Can I see your schedule?" Carly asks and I hand it over. 

"Awesome we have first and third bell together and lunch." She said. 

"Good!" I say as she hands me back my schedule. 

"So this school can seem really big but once you know your way around the place it becomes much smaller. So where did you move from?" She asks as we turn a corner.
