A family thing

Some of the dialogue doesn't have dialogue tags, I'm just assuming everyone reading this has watched supernatural. Also context helps a lot when reading my writing.

Dean Winchester's POV.

I walk behind Bert as he enters a room in Sam's apartment. Sam comes out of now where, and grabs Bert by the shoulder. Bert knocks Sam's arm away and tries to hit Sam, who ducks. Bert grabs Sam's arm, swings him around, and shoves him back. For someone who's 5'3 fighting a 6'4 man, he sure is strong. Sam kicks and is blocked, then pushed back into another room. I follow them, intent to see who wins. Bert elbows Sam in the face; Sam kicks at his head. Bert ducks and swings and Sam blocks. Bert knocks Sam down and pins him to the floor, one hand at Sam's neck and the other holding Sam's wrist.

Bert Baxter POV

"Hey, easy Sammy!" I say as we're both huffing and puffing.

"Bert?" I laugh "You scared the crap out of me!" Sam says

"That's 'cause you're out of practice." Dean jokes I try not to laugh out of my nose. Sam grabs my hand and yanks, slamming his heel into my back and me to the floor.

"Or not." I groan out. "Get off of me."

Sam rolls to his feet and pulls me up."What the hell are you doing here?"

"Well, I was looking for a beer." Dean says

Dean puts his hands on Sam's shoulders, shakes once, and lets go.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Sam asks more serious this time.

"Okay. All right. We gotta talk." Deans says

"Uh, the phone?" Sam looks at us like we're stupid.

"If I'd'a called, would you have picked up?" Dean asked. Sam looks down a little ashamed.

Jess turns the light on.

"Sam? Bert!"

We turn our heads in unison. Jess is wearing very short shorts and a cropped Smurfs shirt.

"Jess. Hey. Dean, this is my girlfriend, Jessica."

Dean gives her that look he gives every girl he finds attractive.

"Wait, your brother Dean?"

Jess smiles. Sam nods. Dean grins at her and moves closer.

"Oh, I love the Smurfs. You know, I gotta tell you. You are completely out of my brother's league."

"Just let me put something on." Jess turns to go. Dean's voice stops her.

"No, no, no, I wouldn't dream of it. Seriously."

Dean goes back over to Sam without taking his eyes off Jess. Sam watches him, kinda wanting to punch.

"Anyway, we gotta borrow your boyfriend here, talk about some private family business." Dean smirks again "But, uh, nice meeting you."

"No." Sam goes over to Jess and puts an arm around her."No, whatever you want to say, you can say it in front of her." Dean gives me a look for help. I only give him a shoulder shrug.

"Okay." Dean turns to look at them both straight on.

"Um. Dad hasn't been home in a few days."

"So he's working overtime on a Miller Time shift. He'll stumble back in sooner or later." Dean ducks his head and looks back up.

"Dad's on a hunting trip. And he hasn't been home in a few days."

Sam's expression doesn't change while he takes this in. Jess glances up at him.
