Hermione was playing with her food while listening to Ron and Ginny argue beside her.

The pasta seemed to be dry and tasteless. She had lost her appetite after seeing Sam and Rose hug each other, probably snogging afterwards.

Hermione clenched her fist while replaying the scene she saw this afternoon over and over in her head.

You bloody, cheating arsehole, Hermione said to herself. I hate you so much, Samantha Malfoy.

"Don't give it to her," Ginny hissed at Ron, bringing Hermione back to reality.

"Why?"

"Don't be daft, Ron. Can't you see she's hurting?" Ginny whispered under her breath, although audible enough for Hermione to hear.

Ron fell silent as he went on munching his food, slipping a piece of paper back into his robes.

Hermione tried to ignore them but she only knew they were trying to make her feel better. Although she wasn't sure anymore if anyone can.

"So, it's the final Quidditch match for the term this weekend," Harry suddenly said. "We'll have a late night practice tonight..."

As Harry's voice trailed off, Hermione's eyes darted towards the long Slytherin table. She could only see one platinum haired boy. She scanned further. Also, there was no Rose present.

Hermione scoffed, rolling her eyes.

Well, they could be together again. Hermione bit her lips, stopping herself from breaking down.

I shouldn't be like this. I shouldn't cry for Sam. I shouldn't be hurting. I couldn't believe I loved her this much.

Later that night, still crying and with the image of Sam and Rose snogging in her mind, Hermione decided she needed to get rid of Sam and anything that had to with her.

To start off, the magical notebook. Without it, Sam could no longer bother her.

Hermione got off her bed, grabbed her wand and the notebook from her bedside drawer and went downstairs to their common room.

"Incendio," Hermione uttered, pointing her wand. And the notebook burst into flames. As fire consumed it, she immediately threw it to the fireplace. She wiped away the sudden tear rolling from her cheeks.

The following day during their Potions class, Hermione finally got rid of the necklace. The feeling was somehow satisfying but she could never deny she was still hurting.

Music, whistles, cheers and screams from the crowd filled the windy air on Saturday afternoon. It was the final Quidditch game for the term. Gryffindor against Slytherin.

As Hermione silently walked towards the Quidditch pitch with Luna and Neville, Cormac suddenly skipped beside her.

"Rough day, isn't it?" Cormac greeted with a devilish smile. His hands were in his coat pockets.

Luna asked. "Are you heading to the match too, Cormac?"

Cormac nodded. "Yes, in fact, I want to invite you three to come join me in our special booth. You can see the game better and up close."

Hermione ignored him as they continued to walk. She knew Cormac was just gonna talk about how he is much more deserving than Sam.

"That sounds fun," Neville answered. Then he looked at Hermione for some kind of permission.

"C'mon, Hermione," Cormac pleaded as he placed his arm around her shoulders. What in the Merlin's beard is he doing?

"It's the last game of the term. Have a little bit of fun," Cormac continued.

Hermione must have nodded because Cormac was grinning mad from ear to ear.

Hermione admitted she couldn't take her eyes off the platinum haired girl and how skillfully she played against Gryffindor Chasers.

However, every time Hermione's mind dragged on longing and mesmerizing the view of her ex lover, her feelings would eventually turn into hatred. Her eyes then travelled to the crowd filled with green-colored clothing cheering on her right. There, Rose stood screaming with Pansy beside her. Hermione bit her lips. What was in Rose that she doesn't have?

A smile drew on Hermione's face when Gryffindor scored a goal then Sam would curse on missing.

Cormac was seated beside her. As much as she hated Cormac, Hermione would also want to see the jealous look on Sam's face.

Hermione almost lost her voice cheering for Gryffindor when Harry caught the Golden Snitch first before Draco.

You deserve to lose, Hermione said to herself as she saw Sam darting to the fields below, with a disappointed look.

"So, Mione, my friends and I are having this party at The Three Broomsticks tomorrow," Cormac began as they climbed down the steps of the Quidditch pitch. His arm was suddenly around her shoulders again.

Mione? Did Cormac just call me that? Only my friends and Sam call me that. Especially Sam. Samantha Malfoy. God, I hate her so much.

"Do you want to tag along?" Cormac asked.

Hermione then tried to slip away from Cormac's grasp as she replied. "Only if my friends will go as well."

"That's not a problem," Cormac said, beaming. "I'll invite them right away."

And as Cormac turned to invite others, Hermione suddenly bumped into Sam. She was all sweaty, her hair tied in a ponytail and she was still in her Slytherin Quidditch uniform with a broomstick on one hand.

"Mione..," Sam softly said.

The way Sam said her name made Hermione feel so much emotions in one second.

Hermione didn't budge. Instead she turned to her right and continued walking, ignoring Sam in front of her.

Sam walked alongside her and muttered something under her breath, "Can I talk to you, please?"

Hermione hesitantly stopped and as she was about to reply, Cormac suddenly butted in.

"She doesn't want to talk to you, Malfoy," Cormac said with a sneer, then he placed his arm around Hermione's shoulders, as if protecting her from Sam. Hermione could see Sam's glaring eyes followed his arm.

"Nobody's asking for your permission, Cormac," Sam hissed.

Cormac chuckled. Hermione then pulled his arm as she whispered to his ear, "Leave her be, let's go."

But Cormac maintained his stance as he leaned forward towards Sam.
"Why? I'm her boyfriend, Malfoy, I think you are the one who should stay away."

Hermione was startled on what Cormac said. His girlfriend? Is he kidding?

Then as she looked and met Sam's confused glares, Hermione could tell Sam wasn't happy either.

"Oh, come on, Samantha, you really think Hermione would like you without the love potion?" Cormac went on as Sam suddenly fell silent.

Sam then turned back at Cormac, "Fuck you." Then she looked at Hermione, "Why on earth would you believe them and not me?"

Then Cormac laughed out loud, drawing attention from others. "Admit defeat, Sam. Don't be a sour loser."

"Cormac, it's not worth it. Leave her be," Hermione said behind them.

As quick and blurry on what happened next, Samantha threw a punch on Cormac's face, making him staggered and fell on the ground.

A lot of others came to stop the commotion. Hermione went to Cormac's aid, helping him stand up.

Sam was held back by other Slytherin students.

Sam pulled from their clutch and quickly walked away, disappearing into the crowd.

Hermione was on the trance of following Sam, but Cormac pulled her hand. "What are you doing? She doesn't deserve you."

Then Hermione slapped the hell out of Cormac's face. "I am not your girlfriend!"
