Secrets to tell(on Hold)

Chapter 2

Bella's pov

As we were riding in the car we sat in a comfortable silence and every now and then we would sneak a peak at each other. Then Edward broke that silence.

"Bella are you okay"? he asked looking worried.

"I'm fine". I replied. Truth is I'm nervous as hell!

"Good because when we get to the meadow I have something to tell you". He said

This officially made me wander."what do you have to tell me"

"You'll know when we get there" he said

After that we rode in complete silence. When we got to the side of the forest he parked the car and we got out and walked the rest of the way to the meadow. When we got there the meadow had grown new flowers they were purple, blue, and pink they were absolutely beautiful.

We sat in the center of the meadow here goes nothing....

"Edward I have something I have to tell you"I said finally breaking the silence.

"What is it" he said looking very worried

"I liked you a lot and that's why I'm telling you this and I need you to promise not to tell any body because it's my deepest secret" I said looking down and feeling nervous. He might break up with me for this.

"I promise bella what is it you can tell me anything and I like you a lot too" he said looking very interested in what I'm about to say.

"You promise to not laugh and call me a freak" I said looking at his face.

" I promise" he said his facial expression turning from interested to confused.

"Okay here goes nothing Edward I'm a mermaid and I have power over water" I said looking down at my hands. I didn't want to see his face when I told him this.

"Bella look at me" he said

I look up to see he had smile on his face. The next thing he said took me by suprise  "I believe you but can I ask you a question"?

"Sure anything" I said

"If your a mermaid then why do you have legs?"he said looking amused.

"I have legs because I'm dry. The only time I grow my tail is when my skin gets wet that's why when I'm in public I have to be very careful " I said smiling so big my cheeks hurt because he din't think I was a freak. He didn't run home and abandon me.

"Can you prove it?" he asked

"Sure" I said pulling out the bootle of water from my purse it was ice cold. I unscrewed the top and said "back up it's pretty big"he complied and scooted back a few feet because we where face to face on the ground. After that I took the water rolled up my sleeve and poured it on my arm and ten seconds later my legs where gone and in there place was my tail.

The look on Edwards face was priceless he eyes were wide with shock and it look like his jaw might hit the ground but he soon regained his posture and smiled "amazing" but then his smile was gone and he look worried

"Edward what's wrong?"i asked panic raising In my voice

"I was just wondering how are we gonna get you dry so your legs can come back?"he asked clearly worried. I smiled knowing that's not nothing to worry about.

"Oh don't worry I can use my power of heat to dry myself here I'll show you" after that I brought my fist over my tail moving it up and down till the smoke cleared and my legs where back. "See no worries"

"You Isabella Marie swan are one amazingly beautiful and talented woman". Then we sat and talked for hours till it started getting dark Edward took me home. At the door step he gave me a kiss and suddenly I rembered "Edward what did you have to tell my earlier?"

"I'll tell you tommorow love it's getting late. You should get some sleep"and with that he kissed me on the forehead and said goodnight.
