How She Became Lesbian Chapter 2

Part 1

It was the week before my aunt Mimi's wedding and after 10 years of dating, breaking up and getting back together, they are finally going to tie the knot. They had 2 beautiful babies together, a boy and a girl who meant the world to me and to Leelo as well, they love her.

My grandparents were not very happy with them having kids and moving in together out of wedlock because they were elders in our church and this goes against everything they stand for. So it was only a matter of time that they made sure Aunt Mimi gets married.

Myself and my other 2 aunts( my moms younger sisters) were asked to be bridesmaid at the wedding. I was very excited about this because I was always a bridesmaid at a lot of weddings and it was fun. My mom was the wedding planner, which was one of her strong suits, she's always been good at organizing events, décor, attire, pretty much everything so we didn't need to stress about anything when she's involved.

The colours for the wedding were burgundy and silver, which I thought was quite a cool combination. Aunt Mimi decided on having a garden wedding, at least just the wedding reception in the garden because my grandparents were very strict on getting married out of a church. Oh and my other 2 aunts had their boyfriends accompany them as groomsmen and this worked in my uncles favor because he was already good friends with them. Then there was me, I didn't have a partner as yet.

Prior to the wedding, I had asked Leelo to accompany me to the wedding because there was just no way I was going to go without her. I don't go anywhere without Leelo. She was a bit sceptical to go at first because she was worried about my grandparents so I had to convince her by telling her how much it'll mean to me if she were to accompany me and she eventually agreed.

It wasn't that my grandparents didn't like her but they certainly didn't approve of our relationship. I grew up in a Christian, Godly home so you can imagine how hard my relationship would be on my grandparents and I wont lie, I was worried myself but my mom had my back when it came to my grandparents so I didn't allow myself to be worried about them.

My mom suggested to my aunt Mimi that she should ask Leelo to fill in as my partner at the wedding but she was to scared about what my grandparents would say. I think she was more worried about what people would say because "society" has way to much to say about lesbians so I was pissed off that she cared about people. I'm lesbian too, you know...so what does she think about me? but it was not my wedding and I decided to ignore it.

Eventually, they found me a partner for the wedding, it is going to be my uncles cousin and although he wasn't too cute though, it was okay. He and I had a good understanding but he had a liking in me and I hope it wasn't going to be a problem at the wedding because my boo will definitely be there.

That week was crazy, as we were running up and down for the perfect dresses and shoes and it was exhausting. Aunt Mimi had caterers for the décor and food so that was one less thing we had to worry about. The groomsmen and bridesmaid were in charge of organizing a dance but we never got that far because nobody was really even bothered other than me of course and again...It is not my wedding.

The Thursday before the wedding, all the bridesmaids met at my grandparents place where Aunt Mimi had to do our nails and to be honest it looked like crap. She used to be very good at doing nails but she hasn't done them in a while and because she did it in a hurry, it came out looking like shit. I didn't comment on it when it was done because I know she's tired and she's been under a lot of stress with the wedding.

Levina, However, (one of the sisters), was pissed off. She told Aunt Mimi straight up that our nails look like shit without thinking twice and I didn't want to laugh. Levina was always straightforward, stuck up and honest...sometimes too honest. She didn't give a damn about anyone's feelings besides her own and yes, she was the last born. Last born's are Bratz. Aunt Mimi ignored her though, she was under too much stress to argue with Levina right now.

The following day, everything was already prepared for the wedding, my mom was stuck doing the nitty gritty things before going over to my grandparents house. The bride and her bridesmaids were all going to sleep at my grandparents house because the wedding will be leaving from there. Traditionally, the bride has to lead the wedding from her parents house to the church and so on. This was way too much admin for me, I always said when I have my own wedding some day, I'm doing everything out of the ordinary and not following tradition.

My mom was busy packing our bags to go to my grandparents and I was dragging. I didn't want to go and sleep there because then I wont be able to see Leelo. My grandparents had rules and curfews and it used to annoy me because I'm not a kid anymore so I really didn't want to go.

"Did you see the time Cruz and you still didn't bath. You know we have to go to your grandparents house" my mom said and she was very annoyed with me.

I looked at her with a dry look on my face and said, "I'll come up later with Leelo Ma"

"So your whole life is going to revolve around Leelo?" I didn't answer.

"And don't you dare think you going to walk into my parents house your own damn time because you're not a grown woman. I allow you too much freedom now you think you're grown."

And all of a sudden she's giving me attitude that I didn't understand where its coming from. So again, I didn't answer.

She took her bags and before walking out the door she said, "See that you get your ass at Grans no later than 5 , Do you hear me?" She yelled.

"Ma, Leelo only gets off work at 5, she still needs to drive home and..."

"Are you back chatting me young lady?!" and I swear I wasn't, what is wrong with my mom though? Geez!

"No mam." I said while looking down. I never liked getting shouted at.

"Be there by 7 Cruz, I'm not playing with you!" she said as she walked out the door.

Geeeeeeeeeez!!! My mom can be such a pain sometimes!! I thought.

I was so annoyed with her right now because I still wanted to bond with my baby and smoke hubbly...you know.

This was our thing on a Friday and she knew that.

I was so annoyed with my mom right now but I got done eventually.

At that age, I never liked being around my family, they were all so old and annoying, with their jokes that weren't funny so I knew this was going to be the longest night of my life!!

Why?? Why Lord?? Why??

I got into a bath and this was a very aggressive bath because I was so upset. The water was splashing everywhere, I threw my clothes around , rubbed lotion on my body aggressively...I was just so mad at everything and everyone.

After I got done, I threw myself on the couch, waiting for Leelo to come and take me out of my misery before I smash the damn TV and run away!!
