Ex's? I can tell you all about that now. It's the whole happy relationship and then bam, one problem an everything goes down the drain. I know.

Well then I've got a story for you.

Chapter 1: Boyfri[end]

Remember your first boyfriend? Or maybe you haven't had one yet but you can imagine. Remember how happy you were and excited that you got to brag to your friends about it?

Well, those were the times, weren't they? Haha, sorry but fairytales don't exist. At least not here.

It started somewhere in May. Let's say I liked this guy (hypothetically of course), and he ended up liking me back, something I never ever thought could happen. I had actually had a crush on him since 2nd grade.

So of course, I was incredibly happy. Amazed. Just content with life.

Until the whole questioning of it came after a couple of weeks. It's like, something in your head is doubting him and you seem to be unhappy with him.

So naturally, I thought about breaking up. Hey, what can I say? I was young and naive. But he broke up with me first. For a cute blonde cheerleader.

It's been three months now, and I've moved on. So has he....Or has he?

*

It was a sunny Monday, the morning of soccer try outs. The grass was moist and there was a slight breeze. I set a hand on my hip and the other one shielding the sun away so I could check the field.

This years tryouts would be tough. There was a lot of newbies but a lot of old champs. I would have to really push it to get in.

My best friend Miranda stood next to me, looking sporty and cute in her bright pink shorts and old black t-shirt.

"Is that Liz the Wiz?" She said, pointing at a shy dirty blonde standing near the sidelines.

My eyes glided to the spot and squinted. Liz the Wiz was her nickname because she was the nerdiest and shyest girl in school. She barely talked to anyone and if she did, it was about homework.

I found it odd she was trying out. She had no muscle in her body. Last year when she tried to kick the soccer ball back to us after it went out of lines, she ended up hitting herself in the face. Then slipped trying to get back up.

"Oh my god." Miranda said with wide eyes.

"What?"

"Look who's trying out.." She slowly pointed behind me.

I swiveled around, looking to where she pointed. And I saw him. Or should I say my ex, Cole.

He walked by, hair still perfect as ever and eyes blue as the ocean. Cliché but it was true. He talked to his friend, laughing.

"Hm, that's cool." I said, twirling my hair around and pretending not to care. But I did. Just a little bit.

She raised her eyebrow. "Cool?"

"Yeah."

She stared at me, "I know it's not 'cool'."

"Well, whatever. I don't really care."

"Right." She said. "I have an idea."

I narrowed my eyes, "Like what?"

"Get you back on his radar." Her eyes twinkled as she glanced at Cole then back at me.

Before I could respond the coach blew the whistle, signaling everyone to crowd around. Me and Miranda jogged over, standing in the back.

"Okay everybody, just play a normal game and I'll be watching from the sidelines. Good luck."

*

"Are you kidding me?" I said, looking at the new team list. My name was nowhere to be found.

"Wow, even Liz made it..." Miranda trailed off, glancing at me.

I let out an irritated sigh and grabbed my bag. There was no use in griping over it. It wasn't going to magically appear on the list if I did.

"There's always next year." Miranda said, catching up to me.

"Yeah, right."

"Sorry." She said sympathetically. "Want to go to Marley's?"

Marley's was a cafe around the street that sold just about everything. Not just food, like toys and shirts and other random things. It was our favorite place because our best friend Jared worked there. He might be stupid but he made the best coffee ever.

"Yes please."

"So, what's this plan you have again?" I asked curiously, stirring my peppermint coffee and staring at Miranda. Her lips curled into a mischievous smile.

"Okay well, he's on the soccer team. I'm on the soccer team. Which means you'll definitely be seeing him more often right?"

"Yeah.."

"So, he broke your heart. Why don't we break his?"
