Present

I walked out of my room and asked one of my parent's helper. "Ate Rowena, asan po sila Mom and Dad?" she looked at me.

"Ay ma'am, nauna na po silang umalis. Nagkaroon po kasi ng emergency." I nodded.

I wore a white sleeveless jumpsuit with a pair of Chanel Lambskin white sandals. Naglakad ako papunta sa aking kotse at pumasok sa loob.

I placed my bag and put on my shades. I started the engine and started driving.

I parked my car and entered the mall. I started walking to the clothing store when my friend called me.

"Skye, may gagawin ka sa Saturday?" She asked.

"Hmm, wala naman." I answered.

"Okay! Birthday ni Kiel sa Saturday, he invited me at pinapasabi niya sa akin na pumunta ka rin daw." She sounds excited.

I can't even say no to her kasi ilang years ko na rin hindi nakakausap si Kiel.

"Uhm sure, I'll call later, Ley" I ended the call and paid for the dress I chose. Nakalabas na ako ng shop at papunta na sa coffee shop when I saw a familiar figure buying a coffee drink. It can't be him.

My body froze at the sight. My eyes were wide open. I can't even move. I was speechless.

Am I dreaming?

I pinched my cheek. "Ouch!" Everyone looked at me. "Gosh, this is so embarrassing." I continued walking until I reached the handle of the glass door.

The coffee scent of the coffee shop welcomed me. I looked around and saw him in my peripheral vision, sitting right beside the window with his drink on the table. Typing something on his laptop.

I ignored his presence and continued buying coffee drink. I ordered an Iced Latte. I sat at the other side of the coffee shop. I glanced at him again.

He changed, he looked more mature and his shoulders are more broad than the last time I saw him.

Kinuha niya ang kanyang phone and he put it beside his ear. Oh, someone is calling him.

He started looking around while sipping on his drink until his eyes met mine. Umiwas ako ng tingin. Sakto naman at tumawag uli sa akin si Ley.

"What?" I asked. "I forgot, nandun 'ata si Zaiden."
