"Ow", I cried out in pain and frustration as an arrow flew past me, piercing my shoulder leaving a long gash, it wasn't deep enough to be harmful. The searing pain made its way through my hand, paralyzing everything in its path. Adrenaline coursing through my veins, my mind dismissing the agony and focusing on the situation.

"Are you okay?", Sebastian asked with a worried look on his face, scanning the area for who shot it.

"It's coated with Alcane" said Sam sniffing at the strong odor leaking out of the wound. That only meant one thing, he knew we were here and he wasn't going to let us stay for any longer. Who sold us out? Annoyed and getting sleepier from the drug, my thoughts slowly whirred. couldn't I live a normal life for 5 minutes?

"You need to get out of here", I whispered trying to save my breath, Sebastian's face wasn't paying attention, hazel eyes determined to find a way out.

"I can't move and they're going to come soon, leave without me", I said desperately as the poison made it's way through my blood stream, numbing my body and fogging my brain.

"I'm not leaving you", he mumbled under his breath, annoyed at me for still talking and continued focusing on the attackers. His brilliant brain working through solutions to get out us away from here.

I didn't even see the next arrow coming at the 2 of us but Sam did, grabbing my hand with a tightened grip and pulling me aside, barely dodging it, we went crashing into a wall with a crack. Before we could stand, four men in black suits surrounded us with blue swords gleaming with frost as it sent out a chilling aura. The leader walked straight through the center, his eyes showed an empty depth where a soul should be. He showed no emotion as he raised his sword right over Sam. Right as he plunged it, Sam dodged with immense speed as the sword hit the stone.

"Lets go" he shouted as he picked me up and started to run. He held me so tight and close to his chest I could hear his heartbeat thumping hard. His hands became warm as he sensed me shivering, when I turned around, I saw the four men running after us. Sam stopped, we were at a dead end and nowhere to go. The soldiers would soon catch up and surround us. This was the end I thought, after 6 years of being apart we would die before we could catch up. Happy thoughts I strongly reminded myself, we can't and won't die."Stop fighting, give in to the darkness and never feel pain again" rasped a wispy voice, is this the place you went after you die.

"You will not survive, give in and die with no pain" whispered an old withered voice in my head. I couldn't fight much longer, I was dead weight to Sam. He would have a better chance without me.

Sam sensed something wrong as he looked down on me with sad and regretful eyes, he wanted to be the strong person who would protect me, mom and my d- he got what he deserved.

"I'm not going to lose you" he said, slapping my face so I don't give in to the darkness. His eyes darted side to side looking for a trod, the once overflowing glamour that was once there now empty. "Stay with me Rayla, I can't lose you too" he said as tears fell down his cheeks, sizzling before it could touch me. His anger quickly turn into fear as he suddenly stopped, it took all my strength to see what had stopped Sam. A wall. It was a dead end, before Sam could turn around to go back another way, the four men stood there blocking our path drawing out their swords and slowly advancing, I suddenly saw four more men behind them. What was happening? Was I seeing doubles?

"What do you want?", I questioned with all the strength I had focusing on the men. The poison was working and we needed to move quickly. I looked at Sam as he calculated our next move, I smiled thinking about us and I just wanted to say one thing before I died. I opened my mouth but no words came out as all 8 men simultaneously fell to the ground with 8 arrows gone clean through their heads, which disconnected from the torso as they fell sizzling on the ground turning into goo as it mixed in with the blood. Only Infernos Arrows or Frostbite Arrows can do that  depending on what the creatures are. I slowly saw the blood freeze as tiny pieces of ice from the arrow spread. The men were different, something out of the world. What happened to the leader, a chill ran through me wondering where he went or when he would come back.

Sam got up slowly to meet whoever saved us, it felt like I heard those voices before but where I wondered. I heard a strong male voice sounding angry and a softer female voice following it.

"She was poisoned with Alcane" said Sam with a worried and guilty tone. It wasn't his fault but he blamed himself. "They wanted us alive because they only scratched her" Sam said, I couldn't hear the next few words as I slowly fell down into the sleep as strong hands picked me up and carried me through the darkness. I dreamed of my worst dreams. Sam was tied to a wall as someone stabbed him in the gut, blood splattered my face while I couldn't do anything. His screams filled the room as the person twisted the knife with hatred and despair. My shoulder throbbed as the spear holding me to the wall was gleaming with blood, my other arm useless as it was broken and shattered in every way possible. The rise and fall of my brother's chest told me he was alive but barely. The person was wearing a long black coat stopping at the tips of his knees. The coat was coated in splattered blood of my brothers gushing out of his wounds. Sam's chest fell never to rise again. The man started walking away feeling satisfied, only to walk toward me. Please be a quick death I hoped. Then a familiar face walked up with a grin on his face, blood splattered from who knows whose. I didn't kill your mom he said as he stabbed a knife into my heart. I woke up with sweat dripping off me and a soaring pain in my hand as I tried to get up. It throbbed with the pain of a thousand needles poking me.

"Uh uh, you need all the rest you can get" said someone in the distance, I tried to turn around but two strong hands grabbed me and pulled me back. What was happening, where was I. I struggled using my full strength to try to free myself. I was too weak. I turned to see who it was. It was Sam and my friends. In the corner I saw a big figure struggling when I saw closer it was the leader. He caught my stare and it felt like he saw through me and right down to my soul, I quickly broke my stare. We must have went through a trod as I felt the atmosphere change, I could feel the glamour, happiness and excitement from my friends.

I saw dear Isaich, it had been years since we had seen each other, his blond hair waved in the wind as he sat up to grab a bottle of water. I believed he was the brain of this group everybody called him Techie, the main in the chair. He caught my gaze and gave me a little smirk and went back to typing furiously on the computer. He was a half - breed he could touch iron without getting hurt, his story was a long story but will get back to that later.

"Hey you remember me?" jumped Jester with the same old face he didn't change one bit. "I know what you're wondering, how did Jester still so beautiful and he's still handsome as ever" said Jester trying to prove what he was.

Sartha came up from sitting with Sam. I realized she must have shot those arrow, she has perfect aim. Her short brown hair fell on her crystal blue eyes as she stood. She came over with an elegant grace she stood behind Isaich, they had been friends since childhood.

"The team is back together", I said which earned a few chuckles around the room. I try to recall what happened before but it as just a blurry image. I saw many familiar faces changed by the years, that day I felt safer than I had ever been.

The next day I woke as the sun cast a shadowy gloom over the sky, as the sun hit the sky I saw the darkness rising from beneath it. It twirled and wisped it's way into the sky blocking the sun's bright shine. He found us here to.
