Remembering the days
When love was simple
And life

Remembering their backs as they left you in the dust
And left you to die
Breathing shallow
Breaths
As life
Slipped away
Remembering your past loves
Late at night
Trying to breathe
Deep
Breaths
As sobs rock your body because everyone you've ever loved has left
Remembering the faces of those who betrayed you
Their voices
Seeing them in the hallways of your prison
The place you can never escape no matter how hard you try
