It had been five year after the war and Hermione had successfully opened a bookstore. Everything had been destroyed after the war and Hermione had decided that she wanted to do something and because she thought that books were very important, she had decided to open a bookstore. The store soon turned famous, mostly because she was Hermione Granger, one of the golden trio, but she also had a large collection of books, and everyone could always find what they wanted.

She was still good friends with Harry and Ron. She and Ron had been dating for a while, but it soon turned out that it wasn't going to work with them and they decided to just stay friends. All in all, life was great for Hermione.

She had just been stacking some new books she received, when the door opened and a customer walked in. Hermione looked up. It was professor McGonagall. "Hello professor, what brings you here?" Hermione asked while walking over to the counter. "Hello miss Granger," professor McGonagall. "I'm here because I have a favour to ask of you. As you know, next week, we will, again, have a week of remembrance, because of the war. I wanted to ask if you would want to talk to at Hogwarts about your experiences with the war?" Hermione looked at the professor. "Are Harry and Ron not talking about the war this year?" She asked. "That was the plan, but I wanted to change things a little and that's why I am asking if you would want to do it this year?" "Yes, I would love to." Hermione said. "I'm would like to tell my story to the new Hogwarts students." "Great, thank you," professor McGonagall said. "I will send you the information by owl tomorrow!" And then she left.

Next week

Hermione was walking up to the castle a week later, with her speech ready. In two days the week of remembrance was going to start. Professor McGonagall had asked her if she could come a couple of days before it started and if she could stay the whole week at the castle. She had agreed and had made sure that her shop was open. She had enough other people working there who knew what to do, so she had left the place without feeling bad about it.

This year's week of remembrance was going to be a little bit different, since it was 5 years after the war and there were more festivities and lectures about it. Hermione would give speeches the whole week to different groups, together with another ex-student, but she didn't know who it was. The last day of the week, would be for the students who actively took part in the war. A ball would be held in remembrance of the battle of Hogwarts and everyone would be there. Everyone of their year and the year after them was invited. They would start the ball with a minute of silence for the victims and then they would celebrate victory and peace for the rest of the evening. But first, her speech.

When she arrived at the huge castle doors, McGonagall was already waiting for her. "Ah, Hermione, just in time. The other speaker is already waiting in my office." After the war, professor McGonagall had been made headmistress of the school and she was doing an amazing job.

Hermione followed the headmistress to her office and was a bit surprised when they entered and a men with white hair turned around to look at them.

"Malfoy?"

"Granger"

"Hermione and Draco," professor McGonagall said. "You are both here for the same reasons. During this week, the both of you will be talking about the war. I know it is already pretty late, but I wanted to tell you what will be asked of you, before I send you to your room." She looked at both of them. "You are both here because I wanted two different side of the story. The past four years Harry and Ron have been telling about their experiences, but I wanted to change it up a bit and that's why I asked you two." Hermione nodded and saw Draco doing the same thing. "I will give the both of you a schedule of the week, so you know what will be asked of you. But for now, let me lead you to your room." Both Draco and Hermione stood up and followed McGonagall to a room in the castle.

They followed her for a while, until McGonagall stopped in front of a door. "I hope both of you will be fine with it, but we have only one room available for the both of you." She opened the door and they stepped into a small living space. At the end of the room there were two doors. McGonagall pointed at them. "Those doors will lead to your bedrooms. The left one is for you Hermione and the right one for Draco. Now, I will leave you two alone, so you can rest from the trip." McGonagall left the room and Hermione and Draco were left alone. She looked at him and didn't know what to do, so she just went to her room. It was a relatively small room, but there was a huge bed in the middle. Her rooms were already put in her room and she started unpacking. Soon after that she went to bed and fell asleep.

Draco's POV

Draco didn't sleep. He was pacing around the room. Why did it have to be her? He hadn't spoken to her in years. Not after what happened in the Malfoy manor so many years ago. And now...

He had agreed to come to Hogwarts only because he wanted to tell people that even people on the dark side weren't that bad. The past years had been hard for him. After the war, nobody spoke to him anymore and no one wanted to hear his story. He had understood. Of course he had. It was not as if he had done such good things during the war, but no one knew how it was to have Lucius Malfoy as father. His whole life had been about prejudices and pleasing his father.

And then there was Hermione. Muggleborn Hermione. The only girl he wanted to spend time with and also the only girl he couldn't get. And now she was here. With him. Living in the same space for more than a week.

He sighed. Tomorrow would be another day. He walked over to his bed and after a while fell asleep. The nightmares waiting for him. Just like all the other nights.
