Red With Silver Lining

A Battle's Aftermath

The fireworks show was a great view from the beach, but Red and Silver would disagree. They sat in Leonard Mountain's nose, watching the entire celebration from up high.

Silver, being the scientific genius she is, learned as a child to be very, very observant of her surroundings. Currently, she stared at Red, her new partner after defeating the Zeta on Eagle Island.

While having their troubles from the start, Silver began to become attached to Red, who was more likeable than Chuck. Abmitably, he was handsome and sweet at times...

Silver stopped that train of thought. Even she knew falling for Red was probably a bad idea.

Red glanced over at her, raising an eyebrow. "You okay? 'Cause you seem tense."

Silver smiled at him. So caring. "Yeah, Red. I just don't know what happens now that the conflict with the Pigs and Eagles are at ease for now."

Red seemed convinced. "I think what happens is that we rebuild what we lost, and maybe it will be better now. There's a truce, I'm living not as angry, and..." He stopped himself.

She looked at him, and scooted closer. "Red, w-what's wrong?"

"I guess Bomb and Chuck had a point when they took me Speed Dating." he sighed. "I am... alone."

Silver took a deep breath.
