Chapter 16

My palms began to sweat as we got out the car. "Lucy stop it, nothing is going to happen" Levy grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the building.

"Levy, I'm scared"

"I'll be with you the whole time so please, relax you shouldn't be scared" 

"Fine I just want to get this over with" I complained no longer dragging my feet. Levy continued to hold my hand as we walked towards the building.I stopped walking when we stood in front of the door. 

"Hi Miss. Lucy it's a pleasure" one of the guards said standing next to the door.

"Hi" I mumbled as he opened the for for us and Levy pulled me through.

"WOW! I've always seen the building but never the inside" Levy gasped looking around. 

"Can I help you?" a voice said from behind the desk, defiantly not Mira's voice.

Both Levy and I snapped our heads towards her. "We're here to see Natsu Dragneel" Levy chirped.

"Yeah so is everyone else, do you have an appointment or do I have to call security?" she said with a very bored look on her face chewing her gum very lazily reaching for the phone.

"I'm Lucy Heartfillia I just wanted to talk to him" 

"You want me to leave a message or something? Cause I can't promise that he'll get it"

"Could you please call his office or something and let him know we're here?" Levy said pulling me towards the lady's desk. 

"Whatever" she scoffed and started dialing a number. "Hey boss some girls want to talk to you" 

"Who?" Mira's voice said over the phone.

"Some Lucy girl and her friend" she said looking us up and down "Should I just call security? They don't have an appointment or anything."

"Lucy? is she blonde?" 

"Yeah, it might be a box dye though" she tried to whisper failing miserably.

"Send her up right away" Natsu's muffled voice came out "Okay, Send them up" Mira spoke into the phone.

"I'm sure you can find your way up there" the girl said ending the call. This time I pulled Levy, I brought her to the elevator and started making our way to Natsu's office. 

"If I remember correctly his office should be right around here" I said landing in front of the double doors. Levy pushed the door open and pulled me in. 

"Hey girls! What brought you here? " Mira's sweet voice chirped, it was almost identical to Lis. She sat on top of Natsu's desk with her legs crossed and a binder on her lap. She wore a long maroon dress with light pink bows and trim and her long white hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall and like always she was absolutely stunning.

"I just I haven't heard from Natsu in a while and I got a little worried" I said biting my lip slightly.

"Here. Come sit, he ran off to the bathroom" she smiled waving to the chairs in front of the desk. "Are you thirsty? Do you need anything at all?" She asked placing the binder to the side. 

"Water? Ooo and with lemon " Levy said. 

"Sure" Mira laughed grabbing the phone "Hey it's Mira! Yeah.......... Yup........... 3 waters with lemon. Yeah...... Thank you so much hun" "So did Lis talk to you girls?"

 "Yeah about that, she told me to ask about pictures from the event that I could post or something"

"Yes, of course!" she jumped off the desk and sat in Natsu's chair behind his computer and desk. "So did you have anything in mind or just whatever I can get?" She asked glancing from behind the computer as she vigorously typed.

"Whatever you can find" I smiled.

"Your water?" a man came in with a tray that had a pitcher of water with lemon slices floating around in it and three glasses. 

"Yeah thanks just put it right there" Mira waved never taking her eyes off the screen in front of her. "Wow Lucy this is a beautiful dress, you and Lis look gorgeous here." she gasped.

"Thank you I smiled" sipping my water as Levy did the same.

"Hey why do you think Natsu is taking so long?" Levy asked.

"Oh the bathroom up here is under construction right now so he had to go down a few floors"

"Why a few floors?"

"Oh he's picky on what bathrooms he goes to that's why we're fixing this one" Mira said glancing up at us "Hey Lucy what's your email so I don't blow up your phone...... you know what I'll just find it"

"Mira, how's it going in here" Natsu's voice radiated all around the room and gave me chill. 

"Hey babe, I'm just sending the pictures from the event to Lucy." Mira smiled at Natsu as he walked in.

"Babe?" Levy and I asked. My heart felt like it dropped into my stomach when she said that so when I spoke it came out as a whisper. 

"Oh relax silly it's a nickname" Mira waved off as she continued to work.

"Lucy?" Natsu's voice rang in my ear as his footsteps came closer.

"Natsu" I said standing up and turning so I could see his face. He scanned my body as I inspected his, he had stubble on his face and his hair was longer than usual. He also had dark circles underneath his eyes and looked like he hasn't slept in days.

"Lucy I-" he started.

"Can we talk?" I asked cutting him off playing with my fingers staring into his eyes.
