Hero King Within Sacred Lands

SUMMARY: Marth is in the sacred lands and comes across evil Sonic.

Venturing through the dark realm was no easy task, But in the Mind of the Hero King, was pure focus and confidence.

He had spotted a familiar symbol, the Triforce, around a structure that he believed to have heard about from Zelda in past times, as well as a sword welding figure guarding it. Knowing Link was saved, And how Toon Links story summed up (The kid enjoyed sharing his story) He concluded Young Link was the guardian,

Seeing no one around the dark area, The Hero King proceeded towards the boulder Blocking him from the fallen Triforce hero, he planned to break thè boulder, free the young warrior and proceed with ease

A suprise attack was a halt he didnt expect

A very darkish blue blur shot right past Marth forcing him to stumble, After regaining his balance Marth Held his blade and stared at the figure,

He was met with a smirk, one that screamed trouble on it's own somehow now even more devilish

Sonic

The world around them warped to a stage, final destination

The ambiance began

Sonics darkish smirk didnt leave his face and he hopped up curling into his ball form, Marth challenged it, jumping into the air charging at sonic and doing a full spin with his blade mid air (nair).

Sonic landed in time to dodge and acted quick, the second Marth hit the ground he was hit into a mid air spin drill (up smash) by the curled up devil.
Fortunately for Marth, Sonics planned attack didnt work, and although the initial hit connected, Marth escaped during the drill attack, leaving sonic drilling pure air.

The two hit the ground seemingly on cue together, Marth was able to act first, staying crouched he jabbed at Sonic (down tilt) forcing him to flinch.
It didnt last long as sonic hopped into the air and curled up again, Marth Challenged his move again, attempting to push sonic closer off the stage, connecting the hit sent both of them into recoil as the blade and Sonics spikes collided.

Marth retreated to the ground as Sonic hopped higher, Maneuvering around Marth and staying above him, Marth put up his sheild hoping to block and punish, But Sonic landed without an attack. Instead jumping into the air again,

Marth caught on now, Dark Sonic liked the air, so he'd fight there, Hopping up and swinging his sword behind himself (Bair) Marth caught the hedgehog with the tip of his blade, Sweetspot.

Marth landed as sonic jumped again, Marth soon following, which led sonic to jump again, evening their height in the air, A move Marth predicted.

Marth went for the Ariel spin attack, The hedgehog barely flipped over the blade in time(airdodge)

A stylish dodge, So Sonic.

Marth landed swiftly and charged at the hedgehog, who was still trying to recover from the flip, Just as Sonic hit the ground, Marth swung, catching the hedgehog right up close.

Unfortunately Marth attacks werent the best right up close as Sonic easily shook it off, kicking Marth. As Marth got pushed back, Dark Sonic was busy doing some breakdance,

Marth was a bit confused to say the least

Marth shook his head, remembering his plan, stay higher. Hopping upwards as Sonic got back up and put up his own sheild. Marth spun once more in mid air trying to catch any sudden movements of the dark puppet, the hedgehog didnt move at all.

A mix up? Marth couldnt tell, after landing quickly he striked again, slashing his sword forwards striking the hedgehogs shield.

That was a mistake, the shield dispersedon cue as the hedgehogs eyes glowed Yellow.

Time slowed down as Marth was left in the recoil of his slash, Sonic hastily swept under Marths legs, going for a combo starter utilizing Marths mistep

Except Sonic missed

Marth took this moment to put up his shield awaiting sonics move, the hedgehog turned to roll behind marth after the miss, seeing the roll, Marth took to the air, which led to Sonic following

Marth swung with a full mid air 630, but missed Sonic by a hair, leaving Marth to land on the ground as the hedgehog spun in the air

As Sonic made contact with the ground, Marth hopped and striked, Catching Sonic in the Ariel attack, as the hedgehog stood stunned from the hit Marth tried to reach the ground

But Sonic recovered in time and jumped with a scissor kick, catching Marth and stringing him into the follow up kick

Sonics land was quick as he attempted to follow up, But Marth reacted and swung below him, catching Sonic with the tipperd attack.

Marth tried to follow up with an overhead sword swing but The puppet was able to react and roll to the side.

Marth was struggling, he couldnt land any form of follow ups, this battle would drag on and wear him out, he needed to end it soon with a combo..or rather, a read

The Hedgehog Jumped above once again, but Marth caught him with another wide sword slash, knocking sonic to the side and back onto the ground, fumbling upon landing, the dark puppet fell to the floor

Marth knew exactly what to do. He stayed in place and charged a calculated strike.

As Marth predicted, the Hedghog rolled towards him, and on cue, Marth striked
Forward smash
Charged
And sweetspotted

The critical hit sent the hedgehog into the blastzone off the stage. Ending the battle and returning Marth to the dark path in front of the boulder

After thinking of his victory, He turned towards the giant rock, thinking to himself, the next battle was soon to come.

Marth was taken out of his thoughts by the noises of confusion escaping the mouth of Sonic, who sat on the dark path holding his head, attempting to recall any of the 5 Ws of this situation

Finding himself unable to, the hedgehog, now as blue as before this mess, looked up at Marth, who wore a concerned expression as he went over to the Hedghog and Adessed his concerns

It didnt take as long for sonic to figure out the basics of what happend, he wasnt new to disastrous villain crap, and using Marths directions, Gave a thumbs up and took a turn to head back taking a different path to find and rescue some other puppets

Which left Marth alone again to face the next foe, using context clues he knew to be Young Link. the triforce bearer would be helpful as any other rescued puppet would be.

Marth just had to find a way around this boulder

Which....took longer than the hero king expected

He couldnt.

Okay, So I'm sorry for the fact that a battle took up the entirety of the chapter, I tried to shorten it but I'm bad

The follow up chapter will be less battle focused and more about the actual adventure
