You're Still The one

Chapter One - Sugarscape

Ella's POV

"El, you have an interview with sugarscape in half an hour." My manager Daniel informed me. We were on my tour bus. It felt so good to be touring world wide. I am originally from England but to be sprecific Bradford, but when I was 16 I moved to Australia with my family leaving my friends behind. It sucked and I tried to keep in contact but it was just too hard. Now here I am 19 years old and on a world tour, and i'm back in England.

I smiled and nodded in response. Sugarscape interviews were always fun unlike other interviews where it was always the same boring questions. Usually it was about my album or my relationship status, which at the moment was single.

I decided I would straighten my wavy brown hair and put on some eye liner and mascara. For the interview I ended up wearing light denim jeans and a black tank top. It was casual but cool I guess.

"Are you ready?" Daniel asked me when he realised I was dressed.

"Yep!" I replied popping the 'p.'

Daniel and I are like two best friends. He keeps me grounded while also managing my career. He stays on the tour bus with me. It's awesome.

"Ella, it's so nice to see you again." The interviewer who I knew to be Kathryn greeted.

"You too!" I replied giving her a hug.

"Ok so first we are going to answer some fan questions."

"Fire away!" I smiled.

"If you had to be an animal what would you be? Oh and that ones from @boo_bear_louis." She asked.

"Definitely a sloth." I said without hesitation.

Kathryn laughed, "And why is that?" She questioned.

"I don't know I just love sloths." I replied while smiling.

"Ok, this one is from @ilyniall1dxx." She said. "She wants to know If you would ever consider dating a member of One Direction?"

I winced at the question. One Direction. Zayn. He was my best friend and for a little while my boyfriend when we were younger. I tried to keep in contact with him but long distance relationships are just too hard. We broke it off a little while later. We said we'd stay friends but we didn't. We didn't talk and he got super famous. A few weeks after we broke it off he started dating Rebecca Ferguson. I pretended it didn't kill me so I moved on. I never told anyone I knew Zayn. It was like he was never a part of my life.

"Oh now that I brought that up, I found this picture recently." Said Kathryn. "It's Zayn when he was little, people are saying that the girl next to him is you. I definitely see the resemblance but would you mind taking a look?"

I nodded and she pulled up a photo on her phone.

It was true. It was me and Zayn at my 9th birthday. He had a red party hat on and I had a silver one.

I sat there speachless. No one knew that I knew Zayn.

"Ella?.... Ella?" Kathryn asked.

"Oh.. sorry umm," I may as well tell the truth right? "well that is m- me." I stuttered.

"Really?" She questioned. "I never knew you knew Zayn Malik."

"Umm we were really close before I moved to Australia." I sighed.

She noticed I was uncomfortable and immediately changed the topic. "How does it feel to be back in England?"

"AMAZING I MISSED THIS PLACE SO MUCH!" I replied sounding over excited. I was just excited to be off the topic.

"That's great." she replied. "Ok back to the fan questions. This one is from @ellaand1dbby."

I smiled at the name.

"She said 'OMG I love you would you consider coming to my house and omg you are so lucky Harry tweeted about you."

"Umm yeah definitely!" I replied. "and really, what did he say?"

"I'll just get that up." Kathryn said. "Ok Harry posted a link of your new song 'What about us?' and said it was awesome and that you were a babe."

"Wow." I blushed. "That's so cool."

The rest of the interview went quickly and before I knew it, it was over."

''Thanks for having me."

"You never told me you knew Zayn Malik!" Daniel screamed at me.

"Yeah old friends, no biggy.." I joked.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?"

"We aren't really friends anymore, what's the point and i'm never going to see him again."

"Yes you are." He whispered.

"What?"

"One Direction are singing at the charity event after you." He replied sounding cool about it.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME." I didn't want to see Zayn. I didn't even know why I was mad he never did anything wrong. I mean we broke up.. then he got the girlfriend. it's not like he cheated on me. But he did stop talking to me.. He got famous and suddenly he was too cool for Ella Williams.

"I never knew you hated him and I just found out then." Daniel replied.

"I don't hate him." I replied. "I just hate what he became."

"What do you mean?" Daniel asked.

"Well.. When he became famous he stopped calling and I understand he was becoming a celebrity at the time but he told me we would still be best friends and then he.. well he lied.

"OOOH, Does someone love Zaynieee." He said in a girlie voice.

"No." I replied sounding dull.

"EL, IS THAT WHO YOU WROTE WHAT ABOUT US ABOUT?" He screamed.

Yes I wrote what about us about him. It was about a girl in love with a boy who left her.

I nodded before walking away. I wonder if Zayn knows it's about him..

"YOU STILL LOVE HIM?" He asked.

"Daniel you sound like a thirteen year old girl, and no I wrote that when I was 16." I wasn't even convinced that I didn't love Zayn. He was such a big part of my life before.
