CHAPTER TWO: Target

LESLEY

"Shy type one, eh?" I saw his nametag and it was the guy with the light blonde guy.

"Excuse me?" I'm surely disgust. "Chill. I won't bite. But maybe Gusion will." He looked behind and wink at something. I rolled my eyes and I pushed him out of my way.

"Since you in the training grounds. Your mates will be having a dual situation. The last duo standing, Wins!" Hayabusa explained. Duo, huh. I want to be paired up with Natalia so I was about to walk up to her but Hayabusa says more something.

"And no, You will not be choosing your partner so listen up!" Ugh. Hopefully a girl.

"Natalia and Karina. Selena and Alucard. Saber with Lancelot. Gusion and..." Why did he suddenly stop? I shook my head. "And Fanny. Lastly Lesley with Ling." Who the hell is Ling.

I look behind me and he was there! My god. I flinched a little as he didn't notice.

"Hi, Miss Lesley." Too formal. I smiled sweetly. "What do you do with your sword?" I asked. He bites his lips. Is something wrong, what I said?

"M'lady. You will see it soon as the battlefield starts." I nodded at him slowly. Not gonna lie, he looks handsome though his hair looks fine too.

"Alright. This time, the battlefield will look like a forest. Their walls you have to get through. Wear these to prevent safety. Once you get hit by your enemy's weapon. You're disqualified. No buts and questions. Three minutes to plan so once the bell rang. Start yourselves." We all nodded at him.

I look at Ling who was already thinking about his plan. "You use as a long-range, right?" "Yes. Indeed." I looked around us. They were doing the same thing. "Our first target will be Selena and Alucard. Since they do fight a lot." I chuckled a little bit since Alucard seems too full of himself.

"Selena likes to trap her abyss around the bush. We would not able to see it." He continued explaining slowly so I can understand him very well. The bell rang so we headed to our perspective portal to the Enchanted Forest.

"Follow my plan, alright?" He winked at me. I smiled and slowly nodded. We spawned near the walls that collect many molds in it. I saw Ling sparkling his eyes.

"Hold my hand. Trust me." I don't trust him but it's worth a shot. I did as he says--and oh my god! We just flew up the wall. I lightly punched his arm. Damn! That was scary.

"Just hold on tight." I felt so uncomfortable doing it but I have no choice. I felt that he didn't fully hold my waist as we kept jumping on the walls we see. Well, at least he's gentle.

We went down so I comaflauge myself holding tight to my Rifle, While Ling was holding on to my shoulder. To set us both comaflauge. Duh.

We spotted Selena and Alucard fighting.
"I said listen to my plan! Alu!" She irritatedly shouted. "Your gonna get killed! Stupid. Stay quiet. Will you?" Selena was about to speak again but I lethal shot Alucard at his back.

"You have slained the enemy!" I heard my speaker onto my ear. "Alucard. Eliminated!" I heard the speaker said those words. Alucard vanished or teleported back. Selena was alerted so she still manages to protect herself but too late.

"An enemy has been slain!" Ling went back to be in the bush. "Selena. Eliminated!" I grinned back at him. After the fight with Saber and Lancelot. There are three left which were me, Ling, and Gusion.

Fanny was eliminated after the speaker went off. Ling warned me that Gusion has a great passion to sense things and just pops out, out of nowhere. So we stayed as comaflauge as we could. A sudden dagger stopped us from walking. I guess he's here.

I sense someone was in front of me so I did not hesitate and throw my grenades and jump back. I knew it. I lethal shot him but he quickly dodges it. He's heading towards Ling!

"Enemy Mega kill!" Shoot. I relaxed and stay calm. Ling's last words were "..distraction...." Of course, I'm not that stupid of what he said. I'll distract my enemy though.

The mage was finding me while I was on the tree looking at him. I throw a grenade near a buff monster to let him know I was farming. Stupidly he fell for it. I used my ultimate. "Target locked. One-shot. One kill." As I spoke.

"SHUT DOWN! Monster Kill!" I smirked. I laughed as I easily killed him! "Gusion. Eliminated." He teleported back. I had my MVP medal with me as I spawning back at the Academy.

As soon as I got back. Everyone congratulated me except for him, of course. I saw smirked and walk away. What a weirdo. I shook my head. My next class was P.E?

"Off you go Lesley. I and Nat have a different class. See ya!" They said bidding their goodbyes at me. I smiled at them until they got away. I went inside the gymnasium. I saw a large mat and some weapons.

I feel awkward around here. "You just got lucky. Marksman." "Wha.." I saw him walk past me. Who's that again? Gossen? Whatever.

I sat at the bleachers. Waiting for the next class to start. "Everyone! Please change your clothes into your gym attire." Gym clothes? I glanced at Ling who was in the same class as me. I approached him to ask how should I get my clothes.

"Hey...Ling?" I called out. "Oh, Yeah?" Ling replied. "How do I get my gym clothes?" I ask. "You'll get your clothes inside the locker room but ask the professor." I quickly nodded at him.

After asking the professor about the keys. I went to the locker room. The clothes are so comfortable to move with. Nice.

The professor only thought us to learn self-defense whenever we don't have any weapons with us. I can't even stop sweating a lot so I decided to take a quick shower. After that, I put on my black leggings and a simple black shirt.

I dint bother to put my coat on. It's too hot to wear such a thing. "Miss Vance. Please come to the headmaster's office. Now." I heard the speaker blurted out. I swiftly went inside. "Vance. You'll be living in this Headquarters." Shouldn't I be at the marksman Headquarters? Whatever.

I nodded slowly. Sir Helcurt already explained why should I live in this Headquarters. At least I'm on my own. I went inside the room that has my name already in it. I examined the room and surely it was neat. The night sky started to turn into midnight so I should sleep by now.

I did my morning routine as ever. I opened the door and Natalia greeted me with a smile. "Just letting you know that breakfast is ready at the cafeteria." She says and winked at me. "Alright be there a sec," I replied and shut the door on her face. I braided my long hair and cover my eye with an eyepatch.

I sighed and get ready for myself. I walk down the stairs as nobody has been here. I saw Selena walking in the same direction so I went up to her. "Hey Selena," I spoke out. She then put her attention on me. "Going to the cafeteria?" I asked.

"Yeah, Wanna go together?" I nodded at her with the agreement.
