I stared at the dark red mass had fallen from the sky. There wasn't any splatter, just a blob moving towards me and attaching to my leg. The goo absorbing into my pores causing my to run off. I was just trying to go home, and this thing had come out of nowhere!

I reached an alleyway and saw a dumpster. I reached in and searched for anything. A week old rotisserie chicken would be good enough. I shoveled the bits of rotting meat into my mouth. Grabbing a carton of Panda Express noodles and gobbling that up to.

"Ma'am?" I heard a voice. I could see his red suit in the corner of my eye and I shook me head. I continued feasting on the remains of the garbage trying to satisfy this hunger. "Are you okay?" I heard him shuffle a bit closer. I stared at my hands and watched maggots crawl out of the chicken carcass. Immediately throwing up the contents of my stomach.

My body shook and I placed my hand on the wall quickly, holding with all my strength. Something sticky latched onto my left shoulder yanking me up into the sky as the world around me turned black.

I drifted awake, my body pulsating in pain and I felt my arm jerk and twitch. I opened my eyes to see the ceiling, my peripherals catching a room I was not familiar with.

A man stood up quickly grabbing my shoulders. "Hey, you're okay, you are gonna be fine." I tried to pull away but it was relentless. "Listen to me, you have something that we need."

More like, something they want.

The voice was darker almost menacing. I looked around frantically trying to find the source of the voice. The stranger let go and I backed away searching the room.

"Who was that?" I asked and searched more.

"What are you hearing?" The stranger asked, he slowly approached with his arms slightly out. I stared at him as it spoke again;

I am you, Y/n.

My eyes widened and I looked around me. "Look, kid, you need to calm down, you are going to be fine."

"Can you hear it?" I asked and he closed his eyes quickly before staring intensely.

"I can't hear yours. I can only hear mine. They can be violent every once in a while but I promise you it is going to be okay." He softly gripped my arm and I furrowed my brows.

"Wait, so I have a para-"

"Nope! Don't say that, they don't like that term." He chuckled nervously. He rubbed the back of his neck as a black mass of goo formed a head beside him, attached to his body. His teeth and mouth curling up as a smile. I covered my mouth and watched the man's eyes dropping to the ground.

"You are one of us now, you will be taught by us." The dark red goo from earlier formed a head attached to my body. It faced me and I froze staring at it with wide eyes. I looked back at the man, trying not to panic right then and there.

"I'm dead, this isn't happening. I'm stuck in hell, I probably got hit by a car. This isn't real." I chuckled and stares at the red goo.

"I'm Adrenaline, we are now one. You are too good of a match to be changed." It spoke with a deep feminine voice.

"Kid, I will help you, I have been in your spot before."
