Always and Forever.

Chapter 2: Conflict

Lin's POV:

I had just got home from a very long 2 show day it was about midnight when I finally walked into the apartment. When I saw Vanessa sitting on the couch silently scrolling her twitter. I immediately starts bombarding her with questions about everything, "What's going on?! Are you ok?! Who do I need to kill!? .." I said at a million words a second. She quietly said, "I saw the video.." in a barely hearable tone. "V it was just a joke, the internet told me to.." she cut him off with, "Lin-Manuel Miranda, 'I know my man like I know my own mind.. you won't ever find some one as trusting or as kind, I will choose YOUR happiness over MINE everytime.' Lin couldn't take it it was magical but also the saddest thing he's ever heard. She continued and said, "Yes, Lin I saw the video. Yes, I'm angry at what you did. But.. I know why you did." She said it in such a flat tone it hurt me to hear. I responds tearfully saying, "No no no you are the one for me and I promised my self that I would change for you any time you needed me to."

Vanessa's POV:
"Lin I don't know if you think I'm dumb or you are just dense." I say with almost giggling
At this point we were both chuckling softly and and I ask him and say, "Lin I need you to tell me something."
"What's up anything goes ask away.."
"... Lin ... I see the way you look at him. Remember when we started dating and how you would look at me?" He nods with tears in his eyes. "I can see it Lin, you look at him that way and Lin I know the heart changes. So even though this is the hardest thing me to ever do..." She looks at all the memories flooding back in her mind. Then looks him straight in the eyes, his beatiful deep chocolate eyes and asks him, "Lin? Do you love him?"
He nods silently and apologizes profusely not really knowing how to react. I tell him to relax and pull him to an embracing hug and they sit there and cry for quite a bit. But come back to reality and Vanessa says, "Lin I will always love and support you ok?" He nods, "I want you to be happy ok? But understand this hurts me to do and I want to stay friends. But.. Lin. I love you so much and I want the best for you. Let's go to bed and we can talk in the morning ok?"

He nods and looks at me and kisses me. "I still love you though." I look at him, "I know sweetie I know, but we are gonna get through this maybe we could do something like an open marriage. We will talk in the morning ok?" He nods once again and we go to bed.

Mean while in dream land:

As I get home from the show I sit down for dinner with V. It's almost midnight by the time we eat. But I wanted to stay up with her to watch a movie tonight.
All of a sudden half way through the text I get a text from groff.

From groff: Lin I love you. Please don't be sad I'm gone. I'll see you in the other side 💛.

I take a second to think what dies he mean I'll see him on the other side? I text him back quickly.
To Groff: I love you too what's wrong?

No answer something is definitely wrong. I try to text him and call him but no answer. I track his location. He in and ally on 82nd street. What is he doing? I decide to go find him.
I look at V and she tells me to keep her updated.

I arrive at the ally in 10 minutes and I want to cry scream and vomit all at the same time.

I see groff... in a puddle of blood from a slice in his neck. He was mugged because his wallet was gone.
But so was groff. His soul. His smile. His personality. Groff was gone.

Then shot up in bed. That is when I realized I need groff. I love him and everything about him.
I'll tell Vanessa in the morning.
