"Yo.." I answered the phone to hearing complete silence. The number looked familiar but I couldn't remember who it was.
"HELLO.." I said a little more aggressively this time.
When you're a celebrity you get use to people playing on your phone from time to time.
"I don't have time for this shit." Just as I was about to hang up I heard her voice.
How I could forget about the one girl that hated me without knowing me, gave me great vibes at the club and then ghosted me all in one week.
"Hey" she said. I knew who it was immediately, but I had to be sure.
"Who is this?" I asked.
"Depends on how many bitches you give your number to" she sarcastically responded. I didn't expect anything less.
"Well you have my number..... but you coulda been my favorite one." I toyed with her, because truthfully I was salty that she ghosted me.
"I can tell that you're use to groupie bitches. That's not me. I don't even know why I called." She said as she hung up.
I put my phone back in my pocket and was about to go in the booth, but a sudden wave of guilt came over me. I'm not sure why, but shawty made me soft and I don't even know her for real. Any other hoe, I wouldn't even think twice.
I gave in and called her back.

I scrolled to put him on the block list. It was a bad idea that I even called him. Just as I was about to put him on the block list, he called me. I stared at the screen and just looked at it. I sighed as I decided to answer it on the last ring. "Shit, I might as well." I thought to myself.I answered but didn't say anything. He didn't say anything either. We both just sat there quietly. I was finished with my joint and almost done with my wine, so I was fairly relaxed.
After about what seemed to be 5 minutes, I finally spoke.
"Hey." I spoke softly.
"About time, I was starting to think you was a mute." He chuckled.
I let out a small laugh and went quiet again. My high had me thinking a mile a minute right now. He always made my stomach knot up in a weird way.
"I apologize. I shouldn't have said that." He said sincerely.
"I didn't have to ghost you either." I paused. "Let's start over." "Hello, my name is Dream." I said.
"I'm cool with that. Well Dream, my name is Moneybagg of course." I said.
"What's your government name?" I asked.
"Governmenttttttt name?" He said while laughing.
"That's exactly what I said." She stated with a small attitude.
"My bad mamas, I'm not use to women asking about my name with me working in this industry.. most don't care or either already know, ya know?" "But, my name is Demario DeWayne White Jr."
"Oh my! You're a Junior? That's cute." I stated.
He laughed and replied, "It's iight. Nothing too special."
"What's your full name?" He asked.
"Dream Tammy Rivera." I said.
"Dream?" He said with a smile.
"Yes my dad named me before he passed." I said and got quiet as I reminisced about the child hood memories.
"So what do you like to do besides rapping? What other passions do you have?" I asked as I changed the subject.
"I'm actually really into working out these days." "I messed around and got a beer belly and I don't even drink beer." He said while laughing. "I actually love to read. In order to be a good rapper, and expand my vocabulary, I read. I also like to travel when I can. And of course I love to hoop with my homies when I can. What about you?
"I love to dance. It's actually my favorite thing to do. I also love softball. I was actually on a softball scholarship during college."
"What college did you attend and what did you major in?" He asked very interested.
"I attended Columbia University, and Majored in Molecular Biology, Pre-Medical Emphasis and I have a minor in dance."

"Damn. Not only are you pretty but you're smart as fuck."I wondered why she was stripping with a Degree like that.
"So, um, not trying to be intrusive or anything, but why are you stripping with a Degree like that from an Ivy League School?"
I asked, while scratching the back of my head. I didn't want to sound judgmental, but I was curious to know. She chuckled lightly.
"Well I'm currently in Medical School. I'm completing this year as we speak here in Atlanta. I have one more year before I graduate. Stripping is fast money, ya know? "I want to be a cardiologist, because my dad, both grandads and one of my grand mothers passed from Cardiovascular diseases. I didn't always live this lavish lifestyle. I bust my ass in school and didn't have any financial support from home. So when I came to Atlanta, I met someone who introduced me to it. I use to feel so dirty and ashamed, but that feeling quickly went away when I started making six figures in one month for dancing.. something I already love to do." I paused as I reminisced on my childhood ago.*FLASH BACK*
I was sitting on my aunt's couch while my mom was in the bathroom with my aunt and some random man. My cousins was outside playing. We had been evicted again, making it twice in the last year. I was going from couch to couch. It wasn't always like this.
When my dad passed, my mom really let herself go. I finally heard the bathroom door open and I heard my mom and them walk out. She looked at me and said, "Hey baby." She tried to kiss me, but I turned my head.
"You have something white on your nose." I said lowly while looking down. Her bright yellow skin turned red with embarrassment. I think it was in that moment she realized I knew she was doing drugs.""Life wasn't easy for me at all. Everything I have, I bought. I'm not sure what type of exotic dancers that you're use to, but I don't get down like that. I literally dance, go home, do homework, go to school, and repeat. I've NEVER participated in anything extra and everybody at the club knows that. I paid my tuition completely off and now I'm saving my money. I eventually want to own my own chain of Strip Clubs all while practicing money. I'll be on the administrative side for the strip clubs of course. I know that they'll have the baddest dancers, food, drinks, and I know that I can run it successfully because I know the in's and outs of this game. It's really a business, a billion dollar industry. I'm going to name it, "Dream Catcher," what's sweeter than dreaming about your wildest fantasy? Actually living it. My club will be classy."
She talked with so much passion. She was so intriguing and easy to talk to. I even left the studio and went home talking on the phone with her. She was different. We talked all night until we both fell asleep on the phone.
