It was about 6:00 in the afternoon. I didn't know what I was doing I had fallen in with the wrong crowd. Me and my "Friends" were throwing rocks at a sign. After seeing no result of throwing rocks my friend told me to pull out the sign for them. I did what I was told. I didn't want to be alone. Not again... I grabbed the sign firmly with both hands at the post of it. Good thing i got my tetanus shot a while back. This sign was extremely rusty so no one would care about it. Right? After a short while the sign broke loose from the ground. My friends immediately came rushing fighting to get the sign. I just stood back watching them try to get the sign for themselves. I felt a slight breeze hit my face. As I noticed the leaves in the trees start to rustle in the wind. I glanced back to see who had won the sign. It all happened so quickly. All i heard was a BANG. The sign had been thrown into the road. Tires screeched hurting my ears. I looked over at the car hoping that they would just keep going and that we wouldn't get in trouble... It's a police car. Great... I noticed the panicked look in my friends eyes. The officer got out of the car and begun his lecture. I wasn't really listening. I was just waiting for him to go away and for all of this to be over with. I started to nervously play with my with my left sleeve. I finally decided to listen back in on what the officer was saying. BIG MISTAKE. I heard him say "You guys need to be taught a lesson. You're coming to the station." He then proceeded to handcuff my friends. I slowly backed away hoping that i could simply just, drift away from all of this. But no. He gave me a look that could kill and I sighed and walked back towards him putting my arms out. How was I going to explain this to my parents? "Hey, so I was hanging out with the people thay you specifically told me not to hand out with and I pulled out a sign it got yeeted into the road infront of a cop car and now I am getting handcuffed and sent to the police station?" Nah..  I'm just gonna let them find out when the police call them. Then I will face the lecture back at home. I got into the car. I was sat on the back right of the car with my 2 "friends" (prison buddies?) sat now calmly next to me? I mean their parents would probably blame the officer, so they have nothing to worry about. The officer put our seat belts on as we couldn't do it ourselves because of the handcuffs obviously. He started driving, turning down a few roads. We started to go up hill. I was looking out at the view when I felt my seatbelt unclick. I looked to my friend and saw that they had unclicked it. They gave me a sinister grin. The officer must have heard it as he started looking back and yelled "WHO UNDID THEIR SEAT BELT?!" I flinched and said back "Mine came undone" quietly. He kept looking back and said "Just grab the side of it and use your handcuffs to..." I looked out of the window. We had swerved to the right side of the road fast. Nothing but cliff leading to a white water based farm below with farm houses in the backround. The sun was setting fast. My eyes went wide and I yelled "OFFICER LOOK OUT" It was too late... By the time he turned around the sunset blinded him and he swerved right more. Off the edge off the cliff. Everything felt like it was in slow motion. My heart was beating fast. Too fast. I choked on air and screamed with the rest of everyone else. Fear was all that I saw in their eyes before we hit the ground.  I got into the brace position as I had been taught when I  was younger. The officer tried to grab for his radio, but it was too late. 2 poles were sticking up from the ground. The pole had went through the officer's stomach as the glass shattered cutting into him more. My one friend hit their head on the bars infront of them causing them to pass out, their head bleeding heavily, their neck whiplashed. My other friend had been a victim to the 2nd pole that was sticking up. It went through their leg and neck. All of the glass had shattered. Everything went silent. My head was bleeding and the glass had cut me in several places. I started to breathe heavily after going through what had happened in my head. "OFFICER ARE YOU OKAY?! F/N?! F/N?!" I had to get out of this death box. The door to the right of me had been crushed but was still in place. My seatbelt was already undone so that was a good thing. I started violently kicking at the door. It was slowly coming unhinged. With a final forcefull kick I broke off the door. I ran a few steps and threw up all that I was feeling. The cold air getting to me making me shiver. I had to get help. I had to call someone. I grabbed the side of my hoodie and lifted it making my phone fall out of the other side. I quickly got down on my knees trying to find the phone. I felt it and pressed emergency call. I swiftly dialed 999. Who am i kidding. I accidentally dialled 911 first as i watch too many american shows. I hear it ringing and put it on speaker to hear the operator better as all I could hear was my heart pounding in my chest. I heard the operator repeatedly say "Hello?" I quickly got out of my thoughts and screeched. "OUR CAR WENT OFF A CLIFF, THEY'RE NOT MOVING! PLEASE HELP ME!" The operator calmly said. "Calm down, calm down. Do you know where you are?" I desperately tried to remember where I was. Was there a sign? Did we go past a sign?! THE SIGN! The sign I had got out of the ground had said (Road Name). "We went past (Road Name)! Please hurry!" I started crying. Was I the cause of all of this. Was this my fault?
"It's all my fault. It's all my fault!" I repeated. "It's not your fault i need you to calm down, take a deep breath" I heard the operator say. "In and.." FIRE EVERYWHERE. THE CAR HAD EXPLODED. The hopes that they could still be alive dissimated along with them in the explosion. I screamed and got pushed back. My ears started ringing and I got disoriented. I had lost my phone. The only light I could see was from the fire on the car and on... their decaying bodies. I heard sirens in the distance. Police sirens and and ambulance sirens had begun to drown out the noise of the fire burning. The flashing lights drew closer and closer. My eyes were stinging from the ashes. I slowly walked to the cars. Paramedics and police officers came running towards me. I was going to be okay! That was until they noticed that the car that had blown up was a police car and that I was in hand cuffs. You could cut the air with a knife. It from "Yay I'm being saved to" "GET DOWN ON THE GROUND NOW!" My ears were ringing from the explosion so all i heard was "GET...THE...NOW!" I looked puzzled and continued walking towards them. They were holding guns. Was something or someone behind me? I looked behind me still walking but no one was there. WAIT ARE THEY POINTING THEM AT ME?! BANG! Before I could fully turn my head to look back at them I heard a gun go off and everything went black. This is my fault. This is my fault. This is my fault. NO. THIS IS THEIR FAULT.
