17- Chaelia

Chaeryeong POV

I worked at Seoul Hospital. Its the first and largest hospital here in South Korea. Well, i managed to get in here along with my best friend as well as my soulmate Lia!

Im a general surgeon in the neurosurgery department. Lia is also under the same team as me. I guess our fate bring us here.

Everyday has been quite a flow. I can be really free at a time and then suddenly a traffic here. There are patients coming in and out every minute so we need to be really prepared, and that our mind shouldn't be lost in the la la land.

Me and Lia are really close we would always have a dinner before heading home but recently our schedule clashes and it makes our meeting lesser. To be honest, i felt a little upset and not that cheerful like i used to be. Maybe its the stress that's been taunting me.

"Ms Lee, the patient is here." Nurse said.

"Alright bring her in." I said.

"Okay, hi mdm Jung how's your recovery state?" I asked.

"Ahh, I've been feeling much better after removing the tumour." Mdm Jung said.

"That's great! Let me see..hmm...it looks perfect, do be reminded to rest well, don't move too much since u just discharged not too long ago, if theres nothing else I'll see u the next time! Bye!" I said.

'Ring ring'

Its Lia.

"Hellooo, whats going on it's been a while since u called me." I said excitedly.

"Chaeryeong, let's go grab a lunch!" Lia said.

What's going on...

At the cafeteria...

"Ya how long has it been since we last met." I said as i slap her at her shoulder.

She took my hand and held it together tightly.

"Im free now so i called u up eagerly to eat together!!" Lia said excitedly.

"Haha seriously, your not busy anymore?" I asked.

"I cleared some of my schedules and there's quite a number of outpatients lately so i guess I won't be that busy for now." Lia said.

"Wanna go camping tomorrow?" I asked.

"Ohhh yesss it's our thing, we use to do it every weekend but my surgery took up my time.." lia said.

"Yep see you tomorrow then." I said.

The next day...

"Wow your early!" I said as i walk to my car.

"Get in, I'll drive today." Lia said happily.

"Seriously, whats with u these few days." I asked.

"Theres something i wanna confessed to u today." Lia said.

"What was it.." i said as i start to feel my heart beating.

To be honest..i used to have this little fling on her back when we were studying medical in university, but I wasn't too sure of it and decided to let it go. But these days, when she's not around i feel lonely and wasn't always happy all the time. The times that i spent were too tiring for me and i didn't know i was yearning for her to be here.

"Why, what are u thinking about?" Lia asked as she starts to lean closer to me making me blush and feeling hot.

"Aigoo my sweetie is blushing.." lia said as she turn back and focuses on driving.

Lia POV

Cut to the chase...i like Chaeryeong. Yes. And to be even more frank, i like her since we first met. Yea..i know it sounds a bit weird but i do believe in love at first sight. The day i fall for her, I didn't stop. If you ask me why I didn't confess to her, well i just can't face it.

But today I decided i need to say it, it's been years since we were together as bestfriends, as soulmates. But recently, i was busy with so many patients coming in at the same time and the long hours of surgery makes me hard to meet her for once. Since now i got some time off I decided to confess to her, i wonder how she feel about me.

At the campsite...

Chaeryeong POV

"Lets get everything...wait since when is the tent ready?" I asked as i look at the campsite being all set up.

"Haha..i actually came here early and set up everything." Lia said shyly.

"Wait...why, nevermind lets just sit down and relax." I said.

At night...

"Actually.." i said

"Actually.." Lia said.

"Err u go first" i said.

"Okay..to be honest..i like u." Lia said.

I was shocked. Really shocked. Because she said she like me. And i do.

"Actually me too.." i said softly.

"Wait u like me too?" Lia shouted.

"Woah..ya i like u!" I shouted back.

"Why didn't u say earlier." Lia asked.

"How would i know if u will like me?" I said.

"Hahahha...your so funny.." lia said.

"So it means we both like each other?" I asked.

"Yea...that was great!" Lia said.

We cling our glass together before drinking it. We looked up to the sky with the stars shining brightly.

"Today's stars are nice.." i said.

"Yea.." lia said.

The both of us look at each other.

"And u look great!" Lia said.

"Yaaa..HAHA.." i said.
