The next morning I woke up on something soft. I was so tired, crying all the time that I fell asleep on the couch. Kygo must've brought me in here.

I woke up to take a shower. I opened the wardrobe and my eyes widened as I found it filled with exactly the same type of clothes I had. It had new dresses too, which were beautiful.

"Lina?" Kygo called and I turned to see him dressed in black, his face dull and tired.

"Put on a black dress. There's funeral today."

"I dont want to come." I said.

" We have noone left. Please. Dont make me ask you again." He said and left, leaving no room for argument.

I took out a formal black dress and hopped into shower. The water was hot but although I stood there for long, it didn't seem to calm me down. I knew this would take time.

I got dressed. I left my hair down and didnt bother to look at myself in the mirror. My mind was blank. No thoughts. No memories.

------------------

The whole funeral went on smoothly. Just as Kygo had planned. People flocked in huge numbers to pay their last respects. However it ended sooner than I thought and the graveyard started emptying. I looked around, noticing everyone who came.

And amidst all the tears, there stood a woman in a pink and white office dress.

She was smirking.

Before I could figure out, she vanished in her Royal blue Jaguar.

Strange!

Weeks passed. I stayed in my room the whole time. Kygo would come with food, feed me, sit next to me for a while and leave. I thought I was falling apart.
I, in fact, was falling apart.

I woke up and took a quick shower. Picking a grey high waist denim Jean's and a yellow crop top, I made my hair into a high messy bun.

Walking down the stairs, I found Kygo lying on Emily's lap, her fingers slightly brushing his hair back on the couch, watching TV. Seeing me walking down, he got up in a jolt.

"Where to?" He asked softly.

"The lake" I said, switching on the phone, which was off since my family died.

"I'm coming." He said and looked at her as she nodded.

"No. I need some space." I said and walked out. He didnt argue. I picked up my Audi's keys and got in, wearing shades.

How long will it stay like that? I have to move on.

Ping! Ping! P-Pi-Ping!

My inbox flooded with messages, including Dwayne's, Zaan's and acceptance from universities.

I half smiled.
Ignoring all the messages he sent above, I texted Dwayne to come over to the lake now. As if my chat window was open, he replied instantly and I revved the engine.

--------------------------
"I'm sorry" he said and hugged me, his fingers drawing circles on my back.

"Hm" I said.

I missed him so badly. I had this crush on him from the day I saw him and he admitted he liked me on our date.

"I know what it is like to lose family." He said and I withdrew, looking into his eyes that read pure sadness and my eyes widened in confusion.

"First they killed mom, then took my sister away, then killed my father. My sister anyway called me saying she is safe." He sighed, but his palm fisted and knuckles turned white.
