Tessa/ Maria P.O.V

Gabe was a broken, terrified mess. I knew he wouldn't be going anywhere. My focus went to Godric. He was short, probably around 1.6 m, with short dark brown hair. He was so fair & his all-white clothes made him look angelic, despite the germanic tattoos underneath.

"Godric, it's me." Gabe groaned, snapping my attention back to him

Godric tossed him back towards me. I smirked as I started snapping his bones one limb at a time. I had my fun & snapped his neck. I could feel Hugo cowering behind me while Godric looked curious.

"You should not have come." Godric said

"Bill." Sookie smiled as I heard footsteps

"No. I'm here, my child. Down here." Godric called out with his eyes closed. In a second, Eric was here but completely focused on him

"Godric." He said, kneeling in front of him

"You were a fool for sending humans, especially yours, after me." He chided him

"I had no other choice. These savages, they...they seek to destroy you." He justified which didn't surprise me one bit

"I'm aware of what they have planned. This one betrayed you." He replied, calling out Hugo

"He's with the Fellowship. It was a trap from the start." I glared, knowing nothing i'd say now mattered

"How long has it been since you've fed?" Eric asked, completely absorbed with his maker

"I require very little blood anymore. Save the humans." He ordered before the alarms sounded, "Go on."

"I am not leaving your side until..." He argued

"I can take care of myself." Godric cut him off

"That makes two of us." I said as I motioned for Sookie to follow

"Spill no blood on your way out." Godric quickly added as Eric followed behind us

I didn't bother saying anything as we left. Eric quickly passed me to take point. I rolled my eyes but let him. We were nearly at the entrance but had to stop. A group of three were blocking our path & closed the large doors. We leaned against the wall to replan.

"I could have you both out in seconds." Eric stated

"Risk Godric's anger? Besides, there's kids out there." I harshly whispered

"Those humans wouldn't think twice about hurting us." Eric glared

"Why didn't you bring Bill with you?" Sookie asked which I also found odd

"His attachment to your family is irrational. It could his judgement. He would kill every child in this church to save you." Eric lied

"Why aren't you?" I asked

"I'm following Godric's orders to get you both out, that's all." He curtly replied

"He's your maker, isn't he?" Sook realised

"Don't use words you don't understand." He hissed

"You obviously have a lot of love for him." I noticed while focusing on the guard's movements

"Don't use words I don't understand." He warned before peeking too. I could tell he was going to make a move.

"Eric, no." I whispered as I grabbed his jacket

"Trust me." He asked as he leaned in closer. I took a risk & nodded, allowing him to step out.

"Oh, hey y'all. How's it going? Steve sent me over to man the exit here. Think I can take it from here." He greeted in a comically innocent voice. I used the distraction to get closer & hid behind the planters.
