(A/N: This story takes place about five years after the canon, think of it as like a highschool AU)

Five nights. For just five nights, Fanboy and Kyle had agreed to take the newly opened night shift at Frosty Mart Pizzeria. The two remembered back when the establishment was just a small convenience store, open twenty-four hours and filled to the brim with all of Fanboy and Chum Chum's favorite saccharine snacks that they took like drugs.

But over the past few years, Frosty Mart expanded into a bigger, and arguably better chain, complete with a kitchen, full staff, live shows, and most notably, a semi-functioning cast of animatronics. Even though the Pizzeria was still gaining traction and growing as a new food chain, it definitely wasn't as prim and proper as all the advertising made it seem.

For starters, the pizza was awful. It was comparable to cardboard, and not positively. The staff didn't have a good reputation, as most of them were high school dropouts trying earning minimum wage. Their morale wasn't exactly up to standards.

But worst of all, the Pizzeria's animatronics were purchased second hand from an arcade-restaurant similar to Frosty's, that closed down decades ago due to... well, no one really knows why. That wasn't really important to the owners of Frosty's. All that matters was the robots cost $10 each, and with some paint jobs, they'd entertain the kids of Galaxy Hills (and scam some cash from their parents).

"I hope you know that the only reason I've decided to take this shift, nonetheless with someone such as yourself, is so I can pay off my newest spell book." Kyle scoffed, holding his chin up high as the two walked into the dark restaurant. It was 12 A.M midnight and their shift had just begun. It wasn't the worst job to have, but it was still pretty shitty; the two were to watch the Pizzeria for six hours for five nights. After that, they would receive their lousy paycheck and never step foot in the creepy place again (except for Fanboy, he would go back there regardless of payment). They weren't left with much instruction, which only seemed to irk Kyle. Fanboy, on the other hand, was thrilled.

"Where do you think they keep their Frosty Freezy Freeze machine, ninnies?" he giggled as he practically ran in. Kyle sighed and directed him to a small room.

"Uh, that doesn't look like the machine-"
"It's not." Kyle snapped, closing the door. The room was almost entirely metal, including two huge mechanical doors on opposite sides of the room. There was only one seat, presumably for the night guard to sit in. Posters promoting Frosty Mart, before their renovations, were stored and hung up on the walls, covering almost everything. Boxes were stacked on boxes, and the only furniture other than the chair seated in front of a desk was a broken fan that made an irritatingly high-pitched hum.

"Pay attention, Fanboy," Kyle scolded, leaning into Fanboy and trapping him against the desk, "you and I are here for one reason and one reason only -"
"Because we're friends?"
"Wh-" Kyle blushed, confused. "N-No! Because it's our job and we have to do it! Now go take a seat while I figure out how the hell I-"

The ringing of a phone cut off Kyle's tirade. He exhaled sharply, eyes widening as the position of him over Fanboy became apparent. Shaking it off, he leaped away from him.

"Don't just stand there, you troll-baby, help me find the phone!"

Fanboy looked around with Kyle, searching for the source of the ringing, but it was too dark to see anything. It was almost pitch black in the small room. The only light was a red glow coming from behind the doors, leading to the rest of the Pizzeria. After only a few seconds of frantic searching, the ringing stopped.

The sound of a receiver picking up replaced the sound.

"Hello, hello? Uh, I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled in on your first night. Um, I actually worked in that office before you. I'm finishing up my last week now, as a matter of fact."
