*Roman's POV*

When the split happened, Remus and I each got a half of the Imagination. Both with outlying land leading to the respective Mind Palaces.

I checked up on my kingdom every few days. Just to make sure everything was still going smoothly.

Well, that's what I used to do.

But of course you know all of this.

I've been spending more and more time here lately. It's been... too much. The voices... the feeling that I'm not good enough, that I'll always be alone.

This isn't helping.

I push the journal off my desk and put my head into my hands. I heard somewhere that journaling is supposed to help you sort out your thoughts. But it only seems to ever make me feel worse.

You should stay here.

No, they need me in the Mind Palace.

No they don't. There's two creativities. They don't need you up there. Remus can take over.

No... maybe.

You're here anyway. You have been for days and no one noticed. They probably forgot about you.

Maybe... maybe I should stay. They'll be better off without me anyway... but what about-

Lock him out. If he really cared don't you think he'd be here by now?

Yeah...

*Virgil's POV*

Virgil: He's been gone for days Pat. I'm worried!

Patton: I'm sure he's just in the Imagination kiddo! You know how he loves to take care of his kingdom.

Virgil: But he's never been gone this long!

Logan: Virgil, if it's this big of a deal to you we'll go talk to him.

Virgil: But Logan- wait did you say talk to him? Oh ok good. I'm in.

So we're off. Walking through the outskirts of the Dark Imagination as a shortcut to get to Roman's castle.

We stop suddenly when we hear rustling in the trees above us.

Patton: Did you guys hear-

Remus: Hiya Patton!

Patton screams and stumbles backwards into Logan who caught him before he could fall. Remus was hanging upside down in the tree and was laughing so hard he face-planted into the ground. He quickly got up and dusted himself off.

Remus: Well, that hurt but Patton you should've seen the look on your face!

Patton: Remus! What have I told you about scaring people!
