Chapter 7

The music was pumping, my head was spinning and the only thing stopping me from falling over was Jai’s arm which was tightly wrapped around my waist.

‘One second babe, I just need check something’ Jai said, walking off into the other room. I didn’t care where, I was too tired and I felt like I was going to throw up. What the fuck was in that drink? Or those drinks, I’d drunk way too much and I was starting to pay for it. People were starting to drift away from the party but the atmosphere was still buzzing and Becca and the others boys were in the corner talking to Aaron. I got up and went to look for Jai, I passed groups of people smoking god knows what, some people throwing up, a lot of people making out and some people even licking each other’s arses.

‘Excuse me have you seen Jai?’ I asked a tall boy who was leaning against the kitchen worktop.

‘Jai...?’ He looked at me like I was speaking some sort of foreign language. I shook my head and carried on walking through, what felt like, hundreds of rooms with no sign of Jai. Where the hell was he? I opened the back door and walked out into the garden, I followed the path which was lit by the few lights from inside the house before finding myself outside of the house. I sighed, slipped my heels off and started to remember which way it was back home.

Luke’s P.O.V

I quietly shut Tyla’s door and walked down the road back home, it was late and dark but I knew these streets like the back of my hand. I was about to turn the corner when I saw a familiar girl in the distance. I ran over to find a drunken Lily leaning against the wall.

‘Omg Lily, are you okay?’ I helped her up and pulled her arm over my shoulder.

‘Where’s Jai? Beau? Becca?’ I asked her worriedly, I knew Jai wouldn’t have left her like this.

‘He went’ she mumbled.

I didn’t understand what she meant, I don’t think she did but I dragged her down a few roads before arriving at her house, right now she just needed sleep.

‘Are you sure you’ll be okay?’ I asked her as she tried to find her keys.

‘I think so, thank you Luke’ she looked into my eyes then flickered down to my lips, she tilted her head and leant in and soon her soft lips were on mine, a strange sensation filled my body but I quickly pulled away.

‘Bye Lily’ I whispered and with that I quickly walked away from the house.

I had no feelings for Lily, she was pretty but I’d never had any attraction, until now. Wait no, that was a drunken kiss, I wouldn’t even call it a kiss, I didn’t do anything back, but, oh fuck. Shut up Luke, she’s with Jai, your brother, your twin. Shut up, shut up, shut up.

Becca’s P.O.V

I woke up to the morning light shining through the gap in the curtains. The light shone on a purple wall, not my usual pale turquoise, I looked closer around the room, it was messy with clothes strewn all over the floor and they weren’t my clothes. I yawned and rolled over to find Beau asleep next to me.

Shit.

I couldn’t remember a lot from last night but I knew nothing had happened, but still, shit. I carefully got out of bed, making sure I didn’t wake him up then found a hoodie and some jogging bottoms from his drawer. I slipped into the bathroom and changed from my dress into the clothes before taking off my smeared make up and pulling my hair into a low pony, I walked back into Beau’s room to find him rubbing his eyes, clearly just woken up.

‘Morning’ he smiled cheekily, looking at his clothes on my body.

‘Why the hell am I here?’ I asked, it came out a little angrier than I had hoped.
